I tested this diamond tester on a real diamond, and it worked exactly as expected. The results were quick and accurate, and the indicator lights made it very easy to read. It’s lightweight, simple to use, and ideal for checking gemstones like diamonds or rubies at home. For the price, it’s a great little tool that does the job well — definitely worth having if you want to test your jewellery.

Useful for diamond testing

I've had some rings for a long, long time and not known whether they really were the stones I was lead to believe, but I was unable to pay the fees to have the ring stones tested. I am still unsure of some of the answers but this tester has provided much information for me. The instructions were not entirely easy to follow but I worked it out soon enough. I made sure that I put in a new battery, the battery I tried first still had some life in it for other gadgets but did not work for the tester. The tester is easy to handle and the lights and sound are very clear. Most of the stone I tested were given clear results, especially the diamonds. How ever it would be useful to know just what this is testing for as several coloured stones were also given a positive reading - but I have no idea what the readings actually mean. For example I have an antique ring which may be either ruby or garnet - it tested positive but didn't tell me what stone it was. For the price it is a very handy quick test. It comes in a neat case with instructions and a useful stone holder for small loose stones. For me it was value for money :)

Initially I was skeptical due to the very mixed reviews, however my experience of the item was very positive, I tested various stones as per the instructions, I had a ring that looked like diamonds to me but without testing, there was no way to be sure, I first tested items that I knew to be diamonds, followed by stones that obviously were not, the tester was able to confirm my suspicions as per my video that the 3rd item tested does contain diamonds. I think this is a great bit of kit for the money and the case it comes with was also great.

I bought this a few months ago but had not realised batteries were not included. It wasn't a super urgent purchase as I don't deal with diamonds that often soI only just got a battery the other night. I put it in and within 5 minutes the device stopped working all together. The battery is brand new and the item is very lightweight and seems like it would break at the drop of a hat, which..it did! Bit late for me to return of course, but wanted to warn others.

This product does not come with a battery so be prepared to buy one or order one when you make a purchase, I found the instructions overall quite hard to understand and ended up having to watch some guidance videos on YouTube. Even after watching videos and reading the instrucitons a number of times I did not trust the results.

ダイヤの判別はかなり出来てると思います。ジルコニアにはうんともすんとも反応しません(笑) ノーブランドのシルバーについたクズダイヤでもしっかり反応あり、「えっこれダイヤなんだ」って言うのが何度かありました。 ブランドのダイヤリングだと即座にピーピー鳴ります。流石○○のリングやねえ…と面白いです。 ソフトケース入りで、ダイヤのサイズからカラットを測る物も付いてきました。値段の割にちゃんとしてるなと思いました。 難点は電池がかなり特殊で、Amazonや大型で品揃えがいいホームセンターなどでしか入手が難しいところです。
