As a writer of science fiction, I depend on the ability of reusing discs for different writing projects. I save money, time, and effort! If your tired of adding up discs you can't reuse, MAKE LIFE EASIER and try these!

No problem with the discs. I ordered the wrong item so did a return. Received a prompt refund.

I have tried my fair share of rewritable dvd's, and haven't been impressed with any one particular brand. I've never tried Maxwell before, but the price was right so I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did, so far I have tried 5 discs and they all work well. So for now I am very satisfied with my purchase. Update (10-09-2010), I have tried all 15 disc now and they all work. So I am going to purchase some more. I've said goodbye to Tivo and Directv. Now I record my local tv shows for free, on these disc in standard definition (16:9 - 720x480)using a Toshiba dvd recorder, and save $80 a month.

I've always been a VHS user (i.e., dinosaur), but my VHS player krapped out so I'm now experimenting with DVD's. Much lighter/smaller and better picture quality to boot (than VHS)... that's for sure! And these were priced very well compared to many I've seen. My neighbor brought some more over for free, but as soon as I run out of those, I'll order more of these.

Again Disk Rot Possibility, but works.

Can be useful for archiving home movies, video and data.

Hello, I am going to explain the reason for my review and to give some information on how to make these disks work. When I received these disks, non of them would work. I could not save to them and I could not burn to them. Most times, the data would corrupt and I could not erase it. Going through troubleshooting and blogs, I tried selecting what disk type they will be and different methods for storing data. Until I stumbled across someone else with the same situation. This is the solution to get these to work. Solution 1.) Put your blank disk into the Disk Drive. 2.) Right click the Disk. 3.) Choose Format. 4.) keep settings as default and then choose "Start". Once you format the disk, you are able to use it for anything. Most other brands I would not need to do these steps, but this particular brand, I have to format the disks just to use them for anything. I hope this helps everyone who is going through the same struggles with these.

I prefer a good, reputable name when it comes to recording media. Brought this DVD RW disc set for use with a DVD recorder. Had issues with one disc but it may not the fault of the disc itself.
