Did not work for MY house's construction
Was trying to range extend from ground floor to upstairs back of house using this device. And it (a) wouldn't connect using the "quick and easy button" to BT HomeHub6 in the same ROOM let alone to a different floor. Tried several times, all signs were good - eg lights and colours that should flash, did so.But never made a connection so was sent back to Amazon quibbles. may work for you. Didn't for us. 1930s house with solid stone walls BUT simple plasterboard ceilings which shouldn't have presented an insurmountable barrier? Other cheaper devices DID work

Finally! A WiFi extender that actually works!
I've tried several Wifi extender products from various manufacturers in the past, all of which had mixed reviews, and NONE of which did the job for me, so I was wary of yet another one, but it was reduced in the Black Friday sales, so I figured I'd give it a go.It's simplicity itself to set up, thanks to clear, well set out instructions (in proper English, not some Google-translated-from-Chinese text!) and even though the 'one button set-up' (WPA) didn't work with my Virgin Superhub 3, it nevertheless took mere minutes to configure it using a web browser on my 10 year old MacBook.I honestly thought it would perform just like the others (ie: it wouldn't) and I'd end up sending it back, but I installed it close to the floor of the bedroom upstairs, directly above the router downstairs, and now the whole 1st floor has full-power Wi-Fi, where before only one of three bedrooms had more than one bar, and I completely lost signal in the bathroom.Perfect timing too, as I just bought a half-price Echo Dot 3rd gen for my son's room, and when I first plugged it in, it couldn't even find a signal! To anyone who, like me, has been searching for an answer to upstairs Wi-Fi woes for at least a couple of years now: give this a try, you'll be glad you did!

Read the reviews - lesson learned!
I am kicking myself with regards purchasing this item as nearly 20% of reviews highlighted significant issues in getting this item to work. It's a similar picture on PC World / Currys & other stockists. The item simply would not work. It arrives with aerials which appear to be able to pick up a signal from space but would not connect to a device 3 inches away. I tried Kindle Fire, Paperwhite, my old Samsung tablet (which connects to anything) and my new Apple Iphone & none of them work. I even ran a cable from my router to the booster upstairs and that wouldn't work either. The online software is poor and did not work. After I full afternoon and 2 evenings I gave up. I'm temporarily using a booster from Asda which cost the grand sum of £10 & while only 2.4ghz works fine. Do not buy!

Excellent so far.
Strange Flat we have but in one location the signal drops to our devices substantially but these big antennas seem to show a full 3 bars on its 3 bars and the extender signal is strong as is the performance.Intially just needed an ethernet only device to have access to the network and this little beauty is providing excellent connection, coverage and performance.I know other reviews can be varied but it all depends on your situation, building construction and requirements, knowing signal is poor on our small devices and they will have tiny antennas, this unit is showing that an antenna can make all the difference.Great price at present and value, thoroughly recommended. Only time will confirm reliability but its been running a faultlessly for a few days doing exactly what we need.

Worked brilliantly...until it didn't! UPDATE - replacement received; let's see how long it lasts...
We got an excellent signal from this repeater in the study which is at the opposite end of the house from the router and receives a weak signal without boosting. We initially had some problems accessing our NAS box on the home network, but a bit of internet research determined that this could be solved by changing the operating setting in the user interface to 'bridge' mode (the repeater function can operate as 'bridge' or 'gateway' - 'gateway' is the default but this will put the repeater on a separate subnet from the rest of the home network devices, which will give you issues).Anyway, all was fine and dandy for about 4 weeks until one morning I noticed that the laptop in the study wasn't accessing the repeater's SSID. A quick check confirmed that the repeater wasn't working (no lights on) and was making a very faint electronic buzzing sound. After unplugging, a gentle shake of the repeater confirmed a small rattle inside. It would appear that a circuit board component (probably a resistor) had fried itself. Given that the repeater was at all times well-ventilated, I can only conclude this was down to poor build quality. In summary, this product performed very well when it worked, but the build quality means that it might not work for long (though of course, I could have just been unlucky - YMMV).UPDATE 15/05/19 - Messaged seller to explain the problem and they sent out a replacement item within a couple of days, no hassle or fuss and didn't even want the defective item returned first. Top customer service and comms - seller recommended.Replacement item is providing the same strong signal as before, but let's see how long it lasts...

Mighty Wi-Fi range extender
This is second wifi range extender I bought this week as the first one ( cheapish ) wasn't powerful enough to transfer the WiFi signal through the entire house .This time it's different story . This product has covered every single room and it does exactly what it supposed to perhaps due to 4 large antennas . You'll get what you paid for . The delivery was next day and really simple to instal ! The wifi frustration is over !

Excellent bit of kit!
Has good coverage and pretty fast for Wifi. Close up you get around 650mbs on compatible devices. Even my phone sees around 180Mbs across the house. I have it wired into a gig network to my ISP which is full duplex 1000meg fibre. For the price I can't fault it!

Perfect for what I wanted
Bought this to stop the kids complaining about the crap WiFi signal upstairs. I run it in access point mode through a powerline adapter. Placed it in the back bedroom and can pick the signal up over the entire house. Even get a decent signal at the top of the garden. If I had one gripe, it would be that the lights on the front are a little over bright, bit of duct tape solved that though.
