This is a very nice Eevee building block set. Thankfully all the pieces were there. It is a little bit of a challenging build for someone below the suggested age of 10, but not too difficult. It just takes a bit of time. The instruction style is a little bit different from the standard Lego style, but not a problem. In fact, it might be more clear for some. The bricks don't quite feel or go together the same as the name brand ones, but again, not that big of a deal. Just be sure to squeeze them together and remove the gaps as you go along, otherwise they accumulate, and can make putting on side sections a little difficult. Adorable and substantial Pokemon creature once you are finished. The size is impressive!

This Pikachu set is super cute. My 7 year old was able to build it by himself. The directions were easy for him to follow. The pieces snapped together easily and he had a lot of fun building it. Pikachu is tall, brightly colored and adorable. My son was thrilled with the results.

I bought this for my 7 year old son as a christmas present. He loves building things and especially legos. He has been working on this for about 2 weeks now. He loves reading the directions and putting it together. It's pretty neat.

Purchased for 13 y/o boy. It look him about a week to complete. He had a lot of fun with it! Easy to buil, good directions, no missing parts. Looks great built!

I put together a Pikachu build first and though I enjoy assembling this as were I preferred the Pikachu more. This was easy to assemble and fun putting together, but some things it preferred to the other build was the book showing you how to assemble it was bigger allowing you to see it and the steps better, but also there were extra parts with the other build and this one had the exact parts. If you have younger kids putting it together or just misplaced a piece you’d have to purchase more parts. That was the only things I didn’t care for. I expected the same things as the other build I had, but it was fun to put together and looks great.

Wanted to buy this the second I saw it. I've been an avid Pokemon fan since I was 10 and still have this excitement everytime I buy something related to Pokemon. I've bought Lego sets before but I've never bought a set from mega construx. So I was slightly skeptical of the difference in quality control for a less popular/well known brand. But the box arrived in great condition, all the bricks came in numbered bags and included 2 part instruction booklets. They also include a brick separator (they call it a 9-in-1 tool on their website) which can be very helpful if you place two bricks together that are hard to get apart using only your fingers. This came in handy for me as I tend to rush myself.This took a while to build. I didn't time myself but I would guess about 2-3 hours, not including breaks. The entire model is quite hefty. About 2 pounds I would say. It does measure just under 13 inches. (when it's standing and ears are straight up) This is a very nice scale and almost to scale as a "real" Pikachu, which are 16 inches tall. The end build is quite sturdy as well.I wouldn't recommend this for younger kids, unless they have an extreme amount of patience or are at least familiar when it comes to building bigger sets. Otherwise the many hours of building might be a bit frustrating for them. Though, if they don't mind you building the majority (or all) of it, I would go ahead and buy it so they can have this beside their bed, on a desk or wherever they normally play. I use mine as a shelf piece.All in all, I'm in love with this little guy and it would be amazing if Mega Construx introduces more of these jumbo Pokemon. Perhaps an Eevee next or maybe one of the starters would be awesome.. Call me weird, but it's like having your own pet Pikachu at home. And what's not to like about that?
