I was so sceptical about the idea of using no base or top coat for this nail polish I put off buying them how wrong I was Theis is the quickest and most easily applied nail polish I own I do not buy any other brand nails inc have been my favourite for a while always so easy to apply and long lasting When i got this polish i also ordered the nail repair polish so i did a test one hand with just the topless coat and the other hand with the repair polish as a base coat the topless coat on it’s own lasted longer I wasn’t expecting that My only concern would be possible staining if the polish was really dark but after using a darker polish on my toes and having no issues with removing I again was surprised unless certain colours stained I haven’t had that issue The coverage is easy to apply and covers well it’s chip resistant is excellent and the difference between chipping compared to other brands is why I only know use nail inc i think it’s the best nail polish of others similar price The shine is perfect and it looks like a professional colour I will defo be buying more topless polish and hope they continue to do more shades in this range

This is one of the better nails on varnishes I've tried (I've been disappointed in several). The colour is fun, it's a candy pink. It's easy to apply and doesn't smell over powering. One coat is passable, but two looks much better. It goes on smoothly, and lasts really well even without a top coat. I'm pleased with it.

Nice, deep burgundy. Went on well. Easy to touch up but I had to do that every day until I got fed up. The ends of your nails still chip if you live a normal life, without wearing gloves all the time, opening bottles of fizz, cleaning sinks, digging credit cards out of purses... there go your pretty nails but the did touch up easily

I had high hopes for this varnish after loving the Nails Inc Back to Life treatment, so I was excited to try this 1-step gel. The colour is absolutely gorgeous – a perfect coral for spring/summer – and it applies nicely. It also dries fairly quickly, although I’ve found it needs a bit longer than expected to fully set, otherwise you can end up with dents or marks. One thing to note is that if you’re a bit slow applying it, the polish can start to dry on the brush, which can leave drag marks on the nail. The biggest downside (and the reason for 3 stars) is chipping. Within just 3 days – and without doing anything particularly heavy-duty – I noticed chips on most of my nails. I’m hoping this might improve when used with the Nails Inc 45 Second Top Coat I’ve just ordered, but that does defeat the purpose of it being a one-step gel that shouldn’t need a top coat. Overall, I love the colour and the application is decent, but the chipping is disappointing.

Love this❤️so easy to apply and looks so professional Which is saying something since I’m useless at it. Colour is so 1950s retro and so cool. Beautiful shine and fairly resilient. Dries pretty fast. Have bought more colours

Easy to apply as is always the case with Nails Inc polishes as their brushes are ergonomically designed for this purpose. Great colour and glossy finish and lasted a whole week ( I used it on my fingernails) despite light housework and other manual tasks during that time. It’s great that no bass or top coat is needed. Just two coats of the polish is enough. Very easy to remove as well, with just one wipe of each nail with nail polish remover.

Not durable or lasting nail polish. Even on a single or double coat. Allowed ample time to dry but it still made in dent to the nail and polish chipped off same day!!

It's really lovely but found it better putting a shiny top coat on as well, as it doesn't come out polished looking. Pretty colours though.

Love this nail polish! It lasts for a while in rough conditions and is a great neutral pink. It’s easy to apply and a good consistency. It takes 2 coats for heavier coverage, but one would work well as a sheer cover.

This is the best nail polish I have ever used. It must really be gel because it’s not chipping and my nails are not tearing and splitting. For me regular polish just chips off immediately. When I go without anything on my nails they split and tear and do not grow out. I was hooked on the salon gel and dip for quite a while and loved it but this is more practical. It’s light pink so the evenness of the color really doesn’t matter and I can’t comment on that. It looks nice but not as nice as a salon manicure. But you can take it off at home and it doesn’t damage nails like consistent salon manicures can do. My nails are actually growing out past the tips a bit which has never happened with regular polish.

Best nail polish I have ever used. Is that too big of a compliment? Nope. I don't like salon gels or dips, too expensive, too time consuming and the damage to my nails takes so long to recover. I don't always wear gloves to wash dishes or clean house so my "other" polishes chip after a couple of days. Enter 1 Step. It may not be a "gel" per se, but it sure is the next best thing. It doesn't seem to "chip." It seems to "fade at the tips. Easy fix. Easy to apply, even with my left hand, just make sure you push your cuticles back. The color Lily is a "demure" mauve, perfect for making my hands look groomed. But I have also purchased the color Kendall for when I want something a little flashier. Drying time is a little longer than 50 seconds, but it still dries pretty quick in minutes. Finally something that works. Can't wait to try other colors.

This polish is okay. It goes on smoothly and easily, and maybe lasts a little longer than regular polish . But it is not gel-like at all. It barely hardens. I still needed to use a gel-like clear top coat that I purchased from Walmart.

I was very disappointed in this formula, as I have previously purchased from Nail Inc and loved my purchases. Prior to application, I tried to do a thorough prep of my nails, to try to give the product a chance to shine, including cuticle care and nail buffing. The formula, out of the bottle, on the first use, was thick and stringy, making the application uneven and the final product look unprofessional. Even with this nail prep, I had chips 1 day later (see photos). I am not hard on my nails, so this was quite surprising. I suspect it is from the formula being thick and bumpy upon application. As for the "1 step" - absolutely not. If you can tell from my pictures, my nails definitely needed a base coat, and this formula just made that more obvious. Also the initial shine was ok, but no where near a gel-like top coat. Once dried, it looks like normal non-gel nail polish, and is desperately screaming for a top coat. The only reason I added a star was for the color, which is true to how it appears on the screen. Its a bright, bubblegum pink, that actually reminds me of pepto... It pulls a little purple, so take that and your skin undertone into consideration when imagining what it'll look like on your nails. If you're just looking for the color, this is a fine choice. If you truly want the one-step gel-like manicure, this is definitely not it.
