Q: what size are the holes to attach it to the wall and what is the recomended fixing many thanks dominic

Holes are 5/6mm and recommended fixing red plugs with 1" and half inch screws, size 10's dome head

Q: What size screws are actually needed to fix to a outside wall?

Think I used a steel screw, size 9 with 2.5 inc depth, big tip is to use a Phillips rounded/screw head to get a smooth finish that can’t damage the hand.

Q: is this bar knurled or smooth

Mine was white epoxy rather than chrome, and it was smooth. Very sturdy.

Well made

Got this for the elderly mother in law for her bathroom. Nicely made and had no sharp edges. The only issue it doesn’t come with any fixings. I suppose they can’t include fixings for every application but apart from that, it’s a good product.

An ideal item if you need extra support for going up & down stairs - I bought 3 of these and it worked out cheaper to do so rather than buy an all-in-one bannister rail - the only drawback, you have to supply your own screws & wall plugs!!

Looks ok. Not the same quality as the one already on wall but serves purpose for helping my husband use shower. Fitted by professional so very sturdy.
