While I'm not a professional carpet installer and only use it occasionally I think it will hold up to regular use. Review: It's junk - I kicked in 6 steps maybe 5 kicks per step . Pad came off on 2nd kick ( duct taped it back on . Finished doing the 6 steps and had lost 6 of the pins out of the head . What a piece of garbage . Still have 8 steps to do and will need to go rent a knee kicker to finish them . Complete waste of money
