Good rub, good quantity, decently spicy, without a burn. I use this on pork ribs. I use it on Tbone steaks, I use it on Deviled eggs. It's a soild, KC / Texas rub. Sweet, but not overly, you can smell, and taste the chili pepper, but again not over powering. It has salt, but you don't really taste it. This is just a very good balanced rub.

I have multiple rubs from Weber, and so far my favorite is the Smoky Brown Sugar followed by the Kansas City. Note the Kansas City rub is a good kick to it with just the right amount of heat level (though some of my guests would prefer the flavor without the heat), whereas the Smoky Brown Sugar is much more nuanced and sweet. Overall I find the quality of the rubs quite good for the price. I've used these rubs on Chicken, Pork, and beef...but my favorite is on Pork chops or Chicken Breasts. They are really a very versatile rub!

I really like this rub, I generally make my own rubs for BBQ but to be honest I've been lazy lately and didn't feel like having to bother with that. This rub is great substitute, and it's good enough I may not bother making another batch ever again. I was worried about it being too salty because I typically make rubs without salt (and just salt the meat separately) but I didn't find that to be the case with this rub. I have only used this on ribs so far, and since ribs don't really need a ton of rub the salt wasn't overpowering. Maybe if this was used on something that takes a lot of rub (like a pork butt) the salt would be an issue for me.
