Best cat toy ever
This toy is perfect. This toy is the reason I can work from home. It was my cat's favorite toy as a kitten, it is my cat's favorite toy as a grumpy young-ish lady. Granted, I am not the most noise-sensitive person out there but I don't think this toy is nearly noisy enough to either (1) scare a standard scaredy-cat or (2) disrupt whatever it is you are doing. 10/10 recommend

Cat loves it! Just wish it turned on via motion-sensor.
I have a 6yo male ginger who has a lot of energy and needs a lot of playtime every day... I've never owned a cat who loooves and uses his toys so much. Well, my cat adores this thing. Five stars for that!I separately purchased rechargeable batteries for this, knowing it would get a lot of use, and I have to say that despite the toy being used a lot, it has only drained the batteries one time! It used the batteries up far less quickly than I expected. It's nice that it comes with a spare feather. I will be having to purchase more replacements as well. If the cat grabs the feather with their mouth, feathers will of course come off. That makes it thin over time. However, despite my cat's aggression, I'm only now having to replace the feather after a month.I deducted one star because he loves it so much that when it turns off after eight minutes, if he wants to keep playing with it, he sits there and meows and scoots it across the hardwood with his paws until I come turn it on for him again. LOL. It honestly would be nice if it was motion-activated, though. I guess I kind of understand why it's not (for example, maybe you don't want your cat waking you up turning it on in the middle of the night), but it might be nice to have the option-- I'd have taken it.

Great in theory, no so much in practice. Too slow
My cat LOVES the OurPets Catty Whack but the feathers simply stick into a silicone base and he pulls them out when he catches the toy, then he demolished the silicone base so no new feathers can fit in. I thought this one would be perfect because these feathers twist into the base. I even thought it would be cool that there are three speeds but the "fast" speed is *maybe* medium and my cat catches it immediately each time. I even replaced the batters after 1 month of use because it was so slow, I assumed it was because he'd worn down the batteries. It also stops for several seconds at a time so he gets bored. I don't know if this is supposed to have motion detection but if so, that doesn't work. I will give it points for durability though! My exuberant cat pounces on it, crashes into it, flips it over and it is still in great shape.Unfortunately after a few seconds he is bored because it's so slow. I'm super disappointed - I had high hopes for this! I Will continue to look for a replacement for the Catty Whack because this isn't it.

My kitties love it!
Our 3 Ragdoll kitties fell in love with this toy! We have to turn it on over and over again as they are that interested in trying to capture the feathers! The toy automatically turns off after 8 minutes and we find ourselves turning it back on for them several times. My husband is trying to teach them to turn it on themselves! And yes, one of the kitties tore off a piece of the feather but not enough to have to replace it yet. The toy comes with a replacement feather and we also bought a 3-pack to have on hand just in case. A purchase well made! Would definitely recommend.

So far…
Our furbaby loves this!! She is a rescue kitten and they had a similar one at the rescue playroom that we could see she enjoyed. I scoured trying to find it but settled on this when I came up short on that one. We have had this one a few days and so far no issues. I will update if we run across any. Our girl is not very big and she isn’t a rough and tumble player/hunter so if you have very aggressive playing, big cats I can’t say how it would hold up… BUT it feels solid, works well and wasn’t hard to figure out the programing. There are 4 modes… fast, med, slow, and change the feathers mode. Not much to it except press the button. We did buy the extra replacement feathers because I wasn’t sure if they would hold up, but the way our girl plays the originals should work for a good long time. You will want to have them on hand if you have aggressive “hunters”. Overall we are very happy with this toy.

Cats Love These Things
I’ve owned a few of these now and every cat I’ve ever presented it to has gone bonkers over it. My last cat went through two. She was a destructive little monkey, but actually a pretty big cat. She could actually grab the feather in her mouth and pick the whole unit up in her mouth and carry it or flick her neck and throw it. She was tough on these, but she really liked beating them up. The cat I have now enjoys sitting and staring at it and occasionally swatting at it. She lets me know she wants to play with it by going and sitting next to it and looking from me to it until I go turn it on. They’re pretty sturdy unless your cat throws them, even then, the case, etc holds up fine. It’s the feathers that take a beating. It comes with one extra feather in the box, but I’d recommend getting the package of spares, too. The batteries last a really long time, even with regular play. It’s a little noisy, but the cats seem to get used to that quickly. It’s a really great toy.
