Hasbro Marvel Legends Series Studios The First Ten Years Iron Man 3 Movie Iron Man Mark Xxii, Pepper Potts, The Mandarin 6" Figure 3 Pack (Amazon Exclusive)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to shine and as it completes its 10th anniversary while Hasbro finds it more than appropriate to release action figures of its various films. Given how some of these films never actually released action figures at the time, it is long overdue. In this case, it is a collection of three figures from Iron Man 3. Having seen Iron Man 3 and loved it, it surprised me at the time that Hasbro released a small number of action figures, Iron Man’s Mark 42, and Iron Patriot. Now with Hasbro letting off almost twice as many figures for each movie, two seems quite paltry. It took MCU’s 10th Anniversary collection to double it and it's much appreciated. Starting it off is Pepper Potts. This is a brand-new action figure and I must say it is a long time coming as Tony Stark’s beloved girlfriend from the MCU gets her action figure. Technically one could say the Mark 42 action figure could be her if you could imagine her in it for the assault on Stark’s Malibu home. But this is clearly a figure of Gwyneth Paltrow, standing just under 6.25 inches tall basically looking like she does in the climax having undergone the Extremis procedure. Included is an Iron Man suit arm with an energy blast that she uses to stop the villain. This looks great and if you collect either the Mark 42 Iron Man figure or her Rescue armor from Endgame you get to see a version of Gwyneth Paltrow in a suit of armor. Next is Iron Man, looking like he does at the film’s climax. After the Avengers, Tony Stark created 35 more armors and they came calling at Iron Man 3’s climax as he and Rhodey had to fight Extremis soldiers to save the President. This figure is the Mark XXII armor known as Hot Rod. With the color scheme down, you can understand why it is called that. This figure actually resembles the Iron Patriot armor from the original release but without the cannon mounted on the shoulders. Standing at 6.50 inches and with the same articulation of previous Iron Man figures. No accessories. Finally, the ‘Mandarin’ looking like he does in the film’s video transmissions. Those who have seen the movie learn of the character’s actual identity would probably be disappointed than happy with this. But hey, it is an action figure of Ben Kingsley, what is not to love. Standing just under 6.50 inches tall with the similar articulation of Marvel Legends action figures with one absent feature, it does not have an ab crunch/swirl. No other accessories. Not a bad collection, though I would have preferred it if they included Aldrich Killian in this set instead of the 'Mandarin.’

These are hands down, the BEST sculpted Marvel Legend Series action figures. The Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) likenesses are spot-on right down to the make-up and blush! Glad I made this purchase! It's so rare to find action figures of previous Academy Award Winners which makes it even better!

The Mandarin Figure is the reason I bought the box set and he fulfilled the expectations I had for him. He had a really great paintjob, likeness and sculptm Pepper Potts figure was a nice surprise, she came with only extra accessory in the box. The Iron Man was ok, a standard armor on a War Machine buck which would have benefited from the Hot Rod paint job being more prevalent but of course they were going for movie accuracy and that's the amount of paint it had in the movie. Other than for more accessories I can't say that the box is lacking and it is highly recommended for any Marvel Legends MCU collector.

Iron Man with his HOT ROD RED FLAME BOOTS that blends into the silver? EPIC. Don't really care for the Mandarin or Potts....I mean, The REAL MANDARIN (Guy Pearce) with maybe RED/ORANGE transparent body (Doctor Strange figure wave like) would of BEEN more suitable. I mean, it is what it is....but GUY PEARCE is a dope actor who should of gotten a figure instead in this 3 pack. For $45 during Cyber Monday...I finally pulled the trigger on this. GET IT. I don't. No Regrets

Great set and paint is done well on all 3. Reused iron patriot mold should give us a little discount instead of a price hike. Set is overpriced overall considering that and lack of accessories. But you need it to complete the 10 box set so...

Had been considering this Marvel Legends 3 pack for some time. Then I saw it at a great price by the seller. The shipping speed was the only thing that made me question the purchase. It was priced so greatly that I decided to buy. To my surprise the shipping speed was a whole lot faster than estimated. It was actually faster than what I've been guaranteed directly by Amazon Prime lately! Super happy with this purchase and would definitely buy from again. I don't write many reviews but this one was worthy of me taking the time. Hope this helps those that are considering it.

I’m so happy I finally have this set! The only gripe I have has nothing to do with service, it’s manufacturing; the face sculpt for Pepper Potts is great, but she looks like she has makeup CAKED on her face lol other than that this is a solid set with a great Mandarin face sculpt as well. Definitely worth getting
