Petmate Jackson Galaxy Hunting Instincts Kicker Cat Toy with Catnip

I took these pics within 5 minutes of owning this toy! The black cat is Orion (22lbs) and the other is Nova (18lbs). I bought this for Orion; he would try to hold and kick my hand sometimes so I'd give him a soft fish, but it was too small to really use for longer than a minute. Nova didn't really kick much before at all so I wasn't sure she'd care about it.I put this on the floor right when it arrived and after about 30 seconds of inspection, Orion fell to the floor and started kicking. He's a big boi and it was a perfect size for him!Nova came out to investigate and much to my surprise, she did the same thing!! Now they're fighting over who gets to play with it, so I may have to get then another one!I've only had it for a few minutes so I can't say much about durability yet, but the canvas material feels soft and sturdy. I definitely recommend this!

All but one of my four cats are picky when it comes to toys, so I was skeptical that this toy would be a hit. I was so very wrong!Less than 30 seconds after putting it on the floor, two of them were making sweet (facial) love to the new, wonderfully catnip-scented toy. (Mind you, this was without having to spray it with catnip spray beforehand, like I've had to do with so many other toys before it.)After less than three minutes, one cat was emphatically kicking, and facially loving, the new toy, while a second one was trying desperately to wrestle it away from her. The two other cats were glaring at me, with this look on their face that all but said, "Where the heck is ours?!"While writing this review, the poor abused toy has changed paws, and rapidly kicking back feet, more times than I can count. Luckily, no fights have broken out and catnip comas have overpowered all four cats. Not bad for only ten minutes or so!I have remedied the situation by buying two more, and have apologized profusely to my feline overlords for not ordering more than one of these in the first place.

This toy was great while it lasted. My 7 mo old kitten absolutely adores it and is always biting and kicking. The sound it makes (the orange toy) comes from the joint in the middle. It's a really subtle rip sound that you don't really hear while they play. That joint is also the weakest part of the toy because it houses the sound mechanism, so it's covered by a soft fabric without anything else behind it. The orange parts are more of a canvas texture and it handles kicks and bites pretty well. So the unfortunate part is that if you have a cat like mine, that likes to get particularly rough while playing, it might not last. The sound function broke after 1 week, and at 2 weeks he's already managed to make holes in it. My only worry with that is at the joint because I don't want him to chew on plastic.I do have more cats and they all seemed to enjoy this toy (when the little one would let them near it). SO it seems like a good choice for most cats. I've also ordered the green toy that's listed here and I'll update my review once we recieve it and little one has gotten a chance to play with it.Overall, pretty solid toy.

Edit: My cat managed to tear through the first one in about 4 months. I purchased a second one and she tore it apart in less than a month. :( Either my cat is really rough with her kicker, or I got a dud. Disappointed.Edit 2: My cat tore through the replacement in under two weeks. This is really disappointing because she absolutely LOVES it, but tears through the stitching too easily. I will be looking for another replacement since this kicker toy isn't working out. I still love the cat daddy, just not his kicker toy, lol.I am SO happy I decided to buy my cat this kicker toy. From the very moment I pulled it out of it's packaging and gave it to her, she tore right into it and played with all afternoon. I never seen her show much interest in any other catoys, save for maybe a lazer pointer pin. This one allows her to exert all that pent up kitty rage/energy without worry or ruining it. I've (accidentally) stepped on it many times and haven't broken or flatten it in any way. She loves it so much that she tries dragging it into bed with my husband and I almost ever night. I would def recommend this toy!

I have 2 fur babies, Gracie & Fiona. Gracie loves catnip & bunny punching toys to death. The last 2 toys that were big enough to be straddled & punched to death were from Walmart, and each lasted about a yr. I spray them with catnip mist & watch my girls go into WWE mode on these toys. I went to replace the Walmart toy once again & they don't carry the one I had previously purchased 2x before.. Amazon here I come. I didn't see it here either, but I did see great reviews on this one. I am impressed by this! It's large enough, and definitely made. I love seeing them UFC this one, and I can tell that it'll last longer than the Walmart toys bc of how well it's made. I also like that it doesn't have any fake feathers on it, because Gracie eats them off otherwise. 10/10 definitely reccomend!!

My cat is 15 pounds, it’s the perfect size for him. He likes to play with it, I do have to throw it at him or place it on his tummy for him to play with it. I would recommend it as it gives your cat a good exercise on his back legs.

I ordered this for my daughters cat as he has a lot of energy! The parcel arrived and my daughter left it in the hallway. A little while later she could hear scuffling noises and when she went to look, her cat was trying to get into the parcel. She opened it for him and he hasn’t stopped playing with it since. She has other toys that she can use to play with him to tire him out so he doesn’t keep her awake, but this one he just pounces on constantly on his own. It’s survived three days with him so far, when most of his toys only last a day and it’s not showing any signs of wear or tear yet. Definitely worth the money I’m really happy. So is my daughter who is getting more sleep thanks to her tired cat!

El juguete es perfecto para gatos de edades tempranas y que aprendan a "pelear" ya que les enseña a morder, arañar y patear siendo un juguete que los va a cansar y divertir.Tengo dos gatos: uno de 5 meses y otro de 3 meses y el grande nunca le hizo caso, pero el gato más pequeño en verdad se divierte jugando con el.El juguete es de un tamaño ideal, tiene un varilla de metal dentro que le permite regresar a su posición original después de jugar y tiene una especie de mordedura de color gris ubicada en tres puntos.Desde que lo compre ninguno de los gatos me ha vuelto a morder o arañar por jugar y por esa razón lo compre.¡Recomendado!
