This was exactly what I needed and super easy to install. I have a complicated house system and the installer's separated the doorbell function and the speaker/microphone function, so I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I hooked it up. The whole thing worked perfectly. In terms of installation, there is a back piece that has 4 mounting holes, once that is up, the main section plugs and screws into it with the one screw you can see at the bottom center of the front picture. I then had to dissemble the entire thing and re-attach the parts as my wife wanted to keep our brass plate.

I've had these for 29 years and when the first one died years ago I never looked for a replacement. Then COVID hit and doors are locked and the front door one died. I never thought they would till make them. They are so much cheaper than 29 years ago too. 5 minute installation and we are back in business for both front and backdoor and can speak to someone or they can buzz to let us know they are here.

First of all, the ring button is not as depicted in the picture, it is effective the same color as the rest of the other buttons in the design grid so it's not evident to the guest to press the "Call" button. While there is a "Call" label inscribed in the plastic, it's the same color as the plastic so it also effectively disappears. And, finally, when I installed it, it did not work. Returning it...

It works fine but the call button is not noticeable. Also it not have any pilot light to indicete that is working. I have to install a LED close to the button.

This replaces the erroneous review provided describing a TV cabinet. This Door Intercom was delivered 3 business days after ordering and arrived in original manufacturer packaging in perfect condition. Installed to replace a similar failed unit (20 years old, in which it appeared someone pressed the "call" button too hard). This replacement was simple to install and works perfectly.

Bought two units six months ago and both have already failed. Cheap product. Previous two doorbells of the same model worked for 10 years.
