Q: how difficult is it to learn to play this type of ocarina?

It is easy to learn, but difficult to master. I've had mine since (I wanna say) late March timeframe, and I still haven't learned how to play the Zelda songs by memory, but if I'm looking at the paper and following along, I'm nearly flawless. Like with anything in life, it takes time, patience, and practice.

Q: What Legend of Zelda songs are included in the songbook?

There is a small songbook..more like a pamphlet. It shows the following songs:Zelda's Lullaby, Saria'sSong(lost woods), Kokiri Forest, Epona's Song(Lon Lon Ranch), Song of Storms(Windmill Song) , The Market Song, Song of Time. Hope that helps. I know nothing about Zelda, bought these for my kids;)

Q: Which holes are the C-pad and which holes are the other buttons?

Please refer to the picture diagram that accompanies your Kokiri for fingering position. Four holes should be covered for the low C note, and only both thumb holes for the high C.

Q: would this be good for playing tapions theme from dbz

Sure. Any ocarina can play Tapion's theme as long as you fit the song's range within your ocarina's capabilities. To play it on this ocarina start with the second tab (Re) and the next pitch will be the the fifth tab (Sol). However, to play Tapion in the original key use any 6 hole Soprano Bb ocarina and follow the same Re-Sol tab sequence.
