KJV Concord Wide Margin Reference Bible, Black Calf Split Leather, KJ764:XM Review: Lovely- Just what I wanted! - This is a wonderful study Bible. It has the thickest leather I have ever seen a book bound in- ever. Nice wide margins. Always lays open flat from beginning to end. The pages are thin, but seem very durable. The forwards are very informative. Each page is crisp, balanced & neat. There are PLENTY of note pages in the back (lined & blank). I'm not sure how useful the noted references are, as I have yet to use them. They are easily ignored, but there if you need them. The font, spacing & leading are immaculate, creating a wonderfully smooth reading experience. This is the best Bible I have ever owned, & rightfully so, as it is by far the most expensive. And it's worth every penny. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't have is words of Jesus in red. I could not find a wide-margin Bible with red letters. I ended up buying a laptop case to transport it in. I could not find a Bible cover big enough. This Bible is BIG. I find it very worthwhile & rewarding to study the KJV. It seems to be the most powerful version. If at first you don't understand the context & sentence structure, take the time to study & search out the meaning. It will be worth your time. God is rewarder of those that seek him diligently. Seek & ye shall find, knock & it shall be opened unto you. May God bless you Review: Beautiful Bible; thumb indexing would make it even better! - This is a beautiful Bible, exhibiting all of the quality I would want for this holy book. I purchased it because of its wide margins: I wanted space to make notes about the orignal Greek and Hebrew meanings of this English translation. The leather is substantial, the paper lovely, and in spite of the paper's thinness, the notes I make with a brown Pigma Micron .005 pen do not bleed through. (Because of the paper's thinness, they do *show* through on the other side, but it is still possible to write on the back side and read both sides clearly.) The print is smaller than I anticipated, but very legible, and including the column of cross-references in the middle of each page, fills a space about 4.5" x 7". Anyone who has difficulty reading fine print will want to choose another Bible. The cross references in the middle column are even finer print. This Bible has a concordance of about 100 pages at the back of the book, plus blank pages labeled A through Z, then perhaps 100 thicker blank lined pages, then 15 Cambridge Bible maps on this thicker paper. The Bible I use every day does not have extra material in the back, and the inclusion of all of this extra material, not quite a half inch thick, has thrown off my ability to estimate where the individual books of the Bible lie when I go to find a specific verse. It would have been helpful to me to have the Bible indexed. For now, if I insert a card in the Bible at the end of the book of Revelation, I can more easily estimate where the individual books lie and find my reference. I especially appreciate that this Bible lies flat when it is open. It is a little difficult to write in the center two margins, because the pages are curved up from the center of the book here.

Awesome for note taking!
This Bible is amazing. I researched long and hard to find a KJV wide-margin reference Bible that was not red-letter that was fairly decent quality and priced right. This fits the bill exactly! I have had this Bible for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it for taking notes and for daily Bible reading. The print is somewhat small (still legible), which is necessary to fit the wide margins. It has a section of blank pages for notes, and then some thicker dual-column ruled pages for more notes. It has 15 maps, a concordance, a glossary, and nice reference columns. It has italics in all the places where the translators added words. Would recommend getting a Darby NT Bible to go along with it as there is quite a bit of mis-translation in the KJV (though well documented). I use a black Pigma Micron 005 pen for notes I'm the margins. As you can see, the ink shows through a little since the pages are so thin, but does not bleed at all. I am able to fit quite a bit of notes in with my small handwriting and the wide margins. I really have no issues with this Bible and would recommend to anyone who wants a study Bible to take notes in. The dual bookmarks are nice!

OUTSTANDING QUALITY WITH MANY PLUSES!!!
Layout of this bible just invites you to study. There are numerous pluses about this bible. First, I was looking for a bible that was as close to the original languages as possible. The Cambridge text is very old and reliable. Cambrige has been making bibles for over four hundred years. Next, I wanted center column references with Hebrew / Greek clarifications. I was wanting a wide gutter so I could very easily read the text when I turned a page without using a hand to push down on the binding. I haven't yet written in the margin yet but there is much real estate (1-7/8") to do so. The pages are thick and the print is bold yet just a point larger would be nice, it is throughly readable and consistent. I Like the cover as it is sturdy and thick. This is a larger sized bible so be sure that you are ok with that. My copy arrived without flaws and I wanted to use my credit card points so I purchased from Amazon. Kudos to the seller for quality of merchandise.

If you are looking for the Wide Margin Bible experience/usage, purchasing one like this is worth it. The look, the smell, the feel are all sensory extras too. In short, I have positive things to write here. However, I would have liked a 10point font size, though this font size is fine. You have to remember, this is a Wide Margin Bible and it has its own specific usage. Larger print Bibles do not offer the usage this one does. Until the Bible manufacturers start offering custom designs through and through, this is all we can do-choose the best one for what we need it for. The paper feels great. Alive even. It takes the underlining well. I have been using the yellow Pigma Micron 05 nib for underlining. It quickly becomes your own. I think you’ll enjoy it, too. All the best. J.

As promised by the seller. I received this order on time. I received a new version of the BIBLE. The only change is the box as you can see. There are few pages wherein the print is a bit light but that's not much of a concern. The quality of the BIBLE is indescribable. I literally have no words. I contacted all the BIBLE sellers in Hyderabad but none of them are aware that this Bible even exists. Finally took a leap of faith, prayerfully placed the order on Amazon. This is the first time I ever held a premium BIBLE in my life and it's MY OWN PREMIUM BIBLE. I literally felt like Royalty when I was unboxing this beautiful BIBLE. The attached images will give you an idea what it might look like. The leather, the feel, the gold guilding on the sides is an experience you have to feel personally. But one thing to note seriously is that the print is little small and the BIBLE is a bit on the bigger size due to the wide margins and the thick paper. You have 31 plain note papers which are the same like Bible paper and you have another 60+ thicker single ruled pages. In total you have like 90+ pages for your notes. With the wide margin and the note pages, I guess you wouldn't be needing a journal, If you have a good note taking system. If print size and BIBLE size are not a concern for you. I'd definitely recommend this BIBLE. I can't describe my joy in words. GOD has really blessed me with this BIBLE. I can't wait to grow old with this BIBLE. Please pray about it and do your research in YouTube. This BIBLE is a must have. Hope this helps. GOD bless!

Great because it is printed and bound in Holland by a top Bible publisher

The quality is good, but suprisingly small text, the referense in the middle even smaller. This was a mistake to buy this one! May fit someone else, but not me! I will check Big letter Bibles, with Wide marginal!

I had a Cambridge that got water damage, so I went looking for a replacement. After looking at and reading about other bibles, the only one that came close was an older Oxford that is no longer in print and the Cambridge is much nicer. The wide margins are perfect for taking notes. Paper is thick enough that you can write without worrying about ripping the pages but thin enough that you can put a lined guide below and still be able to see the lines. One nice feature is that there are both blank and lined pages at the back for notes. My old bible just had line pages. Since I take a lot of notes and sometimes end up drawing diagrams, the blank pages are nice. I got the Calf skin. It is thicker than my old bible and at first glance I wasn't that keen. However, that only lasted until I started trying to write notes with the bible in my lap. Now I appreciate the slightly stiffer leather and am glad I didn't spend the extra money for the goat skin. This is a large bible. If you are looking for a cover, I suggest taking it to your favourite bible book store and seeing what fits. If they have 'large' cases (XL is too big) they should fit, but to play it save, take it with you. I found a great case at a store near me. Other options you could look at are small laptop / notebook cases. Overall, I'm very happy.
