PHion Balance Diagnostic Ph Test Strips, 4.5 - 9.0 ph Range, 90-Count

Second review:The first wonderful review was for the FIRST bottle of these that I ordered from Amazon. Sad to say, the second bottle has been a complete disappointment. Many people prefer the stick strips because they don't RUN the way paper strips do, but these in the new bottle run like crazy and DON'T give a true reading!!! I have NEVER seen ANY brand of pH stick strips that run the way these do. I have called the company, and they were not helpful AT ALL. They consider it not their problem since I bought them from Amazon. I don't often have a problem with a severe acidic condition, but when I do, I want a product that will work. Thankfully, I had some of the paper strips on hand and am using them at this time. Who wants to buy a product again that has iffy quality control? I don't know whether these things are affected by extreme heat or what, but they certainly have not been exposed to anything in my home that would affect their performance at all. No high humidity, no high heat, nothing like that. They were opened a few days ago and were defective right out of the bottle. I have not called Amazon about this - it is like trying to jump through hoops to get a phone number.-----------------------------------------------------First review:I have used this type strip for years except it was a different brand that I am not able to find anymore. But hurrah! This is the exact same one with a different name. I am so glad that Amazon carries these. They are working perfectly for me!!! I don't understand all the problems other people have. I have never had a problem at all with the other brand, and I am not having a problem with this one. If your stick is showing bright green, you must be doing just fine! There are a number of foods/drinks that can change your pH dramatically, though, and a person could try these just to give the sticks a test. Eat some very sweet cookies with a Diet Coke a few times and see if that green doesn't change to pink! Or take 50 mcgs. of Selenium after eating a big serving of RAW broccoli a few times if you can't get out of the acid group! I was stuck in the acid group for days recently after going through a very stressful few weeks, but, finally, I broke out of that acid fog! Stress and not getting enough liquid will keep us there, though, unless me make some drastic dietary changes. It does take some severe dietary changes sometimes to get to that alkaline goal. But that doesn't mean you will always have to eat that way. I haven't, anyway. As soon as I finally make the break, I can start back to eating my beloved peanut butter, eggs, cocoa, etc.! But I continue to carefully keep track to make sure I am not regressing. So far so good with that!!From the company's website: "They have a dual pad indicator that has two squares using two different pH reagents. The top reagent is more sensitive to higher pH ranges (7.0 - 9.00) and the bottom reagent is more sensitive to lower pH ranges (4.5 - 6.75). This combination gives you an ideal reading of your pH level." AND WHEN THEY SAY TOP THEY MEAN THE SHORT END OF THE STICK!

This year is a life changing event for me. I read Dr. Young's ph Miracle and followed the directions which is basically to keep your body in an alkaline state. The ph strips allow me to monitor what ph level my body is maintaining very easily through either a urine or saliva test. Eliminating acid is critical to a healthy body.I'm 53 and was not in the best of health in December 2010. I was 5'8", weighed 167 lbs, have diverticulitis, osteoporosis and bone spurs in my heels and a smoker and drinker. After following Dr. Young's instructions for one month, my chlosterol went from 267 to 185 and all blood readings fell within the mid range and were normal. I was a Atkins dieter which really messed up my system. I'm on week eight of his plan now and have lost 18 pounds. Pretty cool.His plan boasts that NO disease can live within a body in an alkaline state and can HEAL existing problems. I'm giving it a year and we'll see.

This is the type of Ph Test Strips that my dentist uses so I am confident that the results will be accurate.

These strips have two color bars that make it easy to get a match so the accuracy seems to be better than normal litmus paper. In either case, be careful of the compact florescent bulbs. They do not emit all the colors of light so they will throw your reading off. Read the strips under a standard incandescent bulb or in the daylight for the most accurate results.The only problem I have with these sticks is the container. It is a thin flat hard plastic. The lid comes off to expose the sticks, but the sticks are a little flimsy so they spread slightly. This makes it difficult to get the cover back on without touching the sticks. A round box that you shook the sicks out of would be better.I will definitely purchase more when my supply runs out.

Phion pH test strips work very well to test pH in either saliva or urine. I've used this specific product for multiple years.Pros:- These test strips support testing saliva OR urine.- Expiration date was 11 months away at time of receipt. This is a good expiration duration for test strips. Be sure you keep the bottle TIGHTLY capped so moisture doesn't ruin the strips.- Quick read time: you will be able to test and read the results in about 30 seconds after you get used to doing it.- Good scale on pH levels: you can tell your exact pH down to 0.25 increments.- Can be used on humans, pets, etc.Cons:- Normal pH level targets for saliva (7.0 - 7.5) and urine (4.5 - 6.5) should be marked on the bottle so you don't have to remember what is "normal" pH. I use a sharpie and put arrows next to the normal values on the bottle so I don't forget.- Strip colors never match exactly to the reading scale. It takes a few times of using them to learn how to match the colors. After you learn, it's quick.I will continue to purchase this product - it's a solid good value product.
