Plus Size Little Red Riding Hood Costume for Women Red Riding Hood Dress and Cape Outfit 1X ? 8X

This runs very small. I normally wear size 24 jeans and 2x/3x depending on the brand and cut. However, I know that costumes tend to run a bit small and ordered by the size chart based on my biggest measurement. I was a bit taken aback when it showed I would need to have a size 5X!!!! I went ahead and ordered it and figured I could always exchange it (plenty of time before Halloween). When I got it, IT FIT! It is slightly on the large size, but not to the point where it looks sloppy. I have an odd shape and my dress size on the top is 1-2 sizes smaller than the bottom, so I expect the top to be large on me.I was pleased in the length of the skirt. I'm 5'10" and this hits mid-calf. Like others have said, the cape tie is weird. There is a strap that Velcros across the front is a joke and they send another piece of red fabric I'm assuming is supposed to be the tie. I bought a spool of 3" wide red satin ribbon and will be removing the one that is on there and replacing it with something that looks (and functions) better.

Anybody who's ever tried to buy a plus-size costume knows the sizing SUCKS. I really liked this costume but had my doubts that even if I sized-up my order that it would fit. But, I crossed my fingers and did it anyway. Then I thought, ok, if it does fit I hope it looks somewhere near as good as the picture.Wowza! I sure won that gamble! I did order 2 sizes bigger, and the costume is indeed too big, but that's because it's actually sized right! I cinched up the waist tie a bit, and you really can't tell unless I take the cape off and you see the extra material bunched in back. The hood/cape is very generously cut and flows very well. The only thing I could ask for in the whole outfit is if they could put arm-holes in the cape, but I'm truly not complaining.The costume is true-to-size and made out of good material. It's made better than most *regular* clothes you can buy at Wal-Mart or Target (of any size). It looks FANTASTIC, has been a huge hit here at work. I will most definitely be buying from these folks again.

At work we're encouraged to dress up for Halloween since we do a big party for the kids, but it's nearly impossible to find an adult's costume that isn't a "sexy" something. When I found this it was absolutely what I needed. The skirt went to my knees, and there wasn't a low chest line. The fabric was a bit thin for a chilly night, but it was perfect for being indoors, not too hot. Not to mention that the price is perfect for what you get. Really cute, I'll definitely be wearing this one for years to come.

I received this costume very quickly, and it was just as pictured. I ordered the XL size and it was a little big, but it's somewhat adjustable so it will be just fine. I did some ironing on it as it was pretty wrinkled after being in the package, but I wasn't worried about damaging it at all. The material is very nice and very well made.

Perfect fit! Good quality, except for the Velcro holding the cape on wasn’t as strong as I would’ve hoped. Quick fix with a pin though!

Received so many compliments on the costume! Use the sizing chart for a perfect fit! I had to order 2 sizes larger than I normally wear.
