Was just looking for something inexpensive for smaller lures and this seems to be the right fit for what I was looking for. Have 2 other bass rigs for heavier fishing and bigger fish so this offers me a nice option for the smaller baits and fish. Seems pretty flexible but that comes with the medium flex I guess.

I love pan fishing. Although I do everything too. I like telescoping rods too, so I can grab and go. I also have to eagle claw rod (changed out the reel of course) and by comparison this zebco is a bit stiffer, which is a good thing since telescoping rods are notoriously flexible.I threw my zebco 33 custom z on it (though I plan on changing that out for a different spincaster, but havent made up my mind) and it worked great. I have several rods and reels for certain scenarios. When I am alone, bank fishing, you can't go wrong with this guy here. I throw on a swivel and remove the lure when putting it away and I carry it in my tackle bag. My whole setup is so grab and go -- which is why I love this reel.It's *not* the best rod you will ever have as far as sheer quality, but it might be the best in so far as portability and versatility. Can totally catch bass and even northern (pulled this guy up from a bridge! The pole was bending so bad and I was worried she would break but she held it together).All in all -- buying this you can be sure you are getting value for your money. If you match colors like I do, it looks pretty good too. But this is not something for extreme fishing like tournament bass fishing or trophy fish. If you love pan fishing and maybe some bass, this is perfect. It can do more than that, but it's pretty rough on it lol.

Like the fact it can collapse if you want to travel with it

Ordered two Zebco Z-CAST Casting or Spincast Rod 5ft 6in rods. I extended both of them fully then waved/wiggled them around. One pole immediately snapped at the second segment from the top of the pole. Didn't even snap at the joint.I waved the other pole around even more vigorously and it performed fine. It seems like the first pole has some sort of defect in the construction.Will update when receiving a replacement.EDIT: Received a replacement within a week and it works fine with basic stress testing performed. 2 stars to 4 stars. Will possibly bump to 5 stars later if they perform well while actually fishing.SECOND EDIT: Went fishing this past summer and worked fine while casting and catching weeds. No fish caught unfortunately. Bumped to five stars.

Very good rod.

I was very excited to receive this pole. I put a small 2000 series reel on it and it looked great. I'm fishing for trout,. The red color was really beautiful, kinda chocolate cherry color. But as I fished and caught trout I noticed the action was very soft, or flexible. I landed the fish and kept fishing. Over all the rod is really sensitive, and looks greatgood quality, will probably get another with medium action.

Feels more like a light action, rather than medium light. It's still okay-ish.

This works better for camping than a full length, non-adjustable rod. Easy to store in small camper and easy to transport. Reel taken off broken Zebco rod (I broke the tip and last few inches in camper slideout) fits perfectly. Would recommend for compactness, storage, and transport

Very sturdy. Solid. It is rigid and sensitive enough for me. It is a fiber glass rod, and that's why it is cheap. But I don't care. It will last years. I use it in my Kayak mostly and for brook trout and panfish. It can handle a small mouth bass also or anything less than 5 pounds. Great rod. I like it.

Took this rod on a recent fishing trip and I’m impressed but I find that it could use a little more flexibility in the tip for so your bait just don’t fall out of the air like it’s hit a brick wall. Otherwise good starter baitcast rod.

nice little zebco, the day i got, went to order 2 more, but the price went from 20€ all the way up to 39€. strange but true!!!
