Very impressive!
Contemplated for quite awhile about a mini pc, finally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did, this thing has been running pretty smooth and playing all the games I love with nice graphics. The 780m graphics is very impressive, things have come along way these days. So far I’ve tried Overwatch 2, Hunt:Showdown, War Thunder, Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 3, Counter Strike 2, and plans on others. I have no doubt I could play anything just gotta tweak graphics if it’s a more intensive game. I changed vram for graphics in bios to 8GB, war thunder runs on high settings and even movie but that’s a pretty optimized game. Hunt showdown I can get 75-90 fps with tolerable settings, 100fps if everything is turned all the way down. Now granted I’m only playing at a 1280x1024 resolution on my 75hz old 42 inch Samsung tv until I get a decent monitor again but hey I grew up without the top of the line pc setups always and I’m fine without gaming with the highest lvls of quality still to me if I can at least play something and without lag I’m perfectly happy. All in all so far I’ve had this for almost a month and I’ve had no issues whats so ever and hope it stays that way, will update of that changes though for sure but I got a good feeling about this. If it continues to treat me well then I have the option to use the oculink port in the future to get a nice whip setup too so that’s a bonus and was kind of my selling point for upgrade potential in future. This thing works better then anything I’ve ever had(mind you it’s been a lil bit since I’ve been back into the pc zone). I would totally recommend this thing for others based on my experience with this thing up to this point, if anything changes I will definitely update this though!

Great performance in a small package
The only bad things I can say about it is the process to open it involves removing the feet which are stuck on and the stickiness will wear overtime if it's open to often. You then need to use a tool to undo the clips to remove the cover. Other mini PCs I've used just have exposed screws on the bottom and the panel is then free after they are removed. The fan noticeable at idle, and through under load it doesn't get much worse. The Good.Amazing performance at an extremely low power draw.Dual m.2 2280 NVME slots and pads are included so you can cool them. Note that you need bare NVME drives, ones with a case won't work as you won't be able to close the lid.Triple monitor output, I did run into issues where none of the Display Port to HDMI adapters or cables I had worked. However, a DP cable to a DP port on the monitor did work. I ended up getting a new DP1.4 to HDMI adapter which is labelled as "8K" and that adapter is recognized and works. It won't break any records versus a PC with a discrete GPU for gaming. But the specs match up to the Z1 Extreme and Z2 found in current handheld gaming PCs. But this has higher TDP, so it'll can hit more performance. You just don't be running them at 4K, but if the Steam Deck can run it, this will as well at better settings.

Display port to HDMI doesn’t work
The UM870 was purchased due to its support for large memory, 96GB. That works well. Since I ordered a bare bones unit, I installed Windows-11. That went fine except for the display. By default the Radeon driver failed to load. After downloading loading the latest AMD drivers, it worked. First I tested the HDMI port to a monitor. Then I tried the display port using a display port to hdmi cable that I’d successfully used with a Lenovo PC which has display ports. On the UM870 no display. I’d read others have seen this as well but using a dp to dp cable to a monitor with display ports worked. I may have to purchase a new monitor and cable. Poor interoperability.

Legit game-changer
I'm using this little guy right now and it is indeed a a small footprint and blazing fast. I've never seen start-up times like this. I've always built my own pc's, but when I came across this mini concept, it just made too much sense to pass up for the price. The days of building out huge rigs are over. I am enjoying all the space I get to enjoy now next to my desk. Haven't tried gaming yet, but everything is faster and smoother and you get Windows 11, which is nice.
