Light lasts a long time but isn't bright enough to use.
I received this as a gift and don't know how to tell the giver they were shamelessly cheated. It looks like the only useable lanterns shipped by this company were the freebies given out to Amazon Vine for free distribution to its hand picked and seemingly coached reviewers. The lantern I received is little more than a Dollar Store lawn light at best. The light did last almost 16 hours but for 10 of those was little more than a glow marker that couldn't be used for reading, moving around camp or even finding things inside a tent. At about 3 hours into the first charge I was actually using my cigarette lighter to see in the 1 person tent to find a food bar.After that experience I let it charge for a full day in direct bright sun hoping it was just a bad charge or something. Nope, it produced light like it did the night before but it only lasted for 5 hours, 3+ of them with only an unusable dim glow. This was after 6 hours of bright sunlight. I recommend getting a couple fireflys and a small jar, it will last longer and shed brighter light.

Useful lantern
Really hard to find a lantern on here that's not got lots of suspiciously long and detailed positive reviews...In the end we chose this one.We've had it for about a year. It's really bright and has done a good job. Very useful for camping.

Solar lantern a must for power cuts ,camping or an emergency ..be prepared and buy one

Burnt out after 1hr
Bought for the great combination of solar/mains charged and battery power options, but within 1hr of receiving and charging it there was a strong burning smell and the light stopped charging or switching on. I was a bit doubtful when I found it came with cheap unfused mini plug; sadly it only took an hour to prove my doubts right. Maybe I was unlucky and got a dud, but the build quality suggests it might not be a one-off. Shame, as it'd be a great design with a better/more expensive build.

Great light for spring nights
Perfect little performer. Charged before leaving, and it sufficed for an entire Bank Holiday weekend. Easy to use, seems reliable.
