Wow! I'm so glad I gave this a try. I wasn't even sure if I'd like having a canopy bed, but now I can't imagine it any different, lol. This happened to work out perfect for me, because I could set it up within my bed frame (my frame is king size and mattress is california king size, so there is room on each side as you can see in the pics). It sits very sturdy, but you know, I don't have anyone swinging from it, so it's sturdy enough for my needs, haha! I am also in a basement bedroom, and was really glad the height was just perfect for fitting under the drop down part of my ceiling. As for assembling it, I did it alone, and it was easy enough for me to figure out. It took maybe 30 minutes? One thing, make sure to either use the gloves they provide, or be ready to just wash your hands well after handling the metal rods. After putting up a sheer canopy and some lights, it's like I've totally transformed my room. One friend who saw it even said it makes my bed look HUUUGE- she just never really noticed how big of a bed I had before, lol. In any case, I'm loving it, it was easy to put together, and I would recommend it.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!! This has only lasted me less than 4 months. The connectors are cheaply welded together and now 3 of them have snapped rendering the frame completely useless. The metal is very weak. I'm very sad because I liked having a canopy bed.

Considering there are no instructions and no firm anchor points, this is quite a genius invention. I managed to set it up solo by assembling the pole pieces and then standing on the bed to attach the corner joints. By the time I put the mosquito net over it, I was pretty nauseous from “motion sickness”. It took only about 30 minutes to set up the frame. But the double layer netting (from a different seller) arrived in a bundle, again with zero guidance, as to which was inside or outside. So I’m adding info on the netting in case it helps. There are 4 satin ties at the corners. and on the other side there are 8 net ties. I assumed the net ties attach to the horizontal poles and the satin ribbons on the other side are for decoration only because you can’t tie them to the poles. That took over an hour to set up over the frame because I started with the satin corner ties on the inside and had to turn the yards and yards of netting to the other side, again walking around on top of the bed. However the finished assemblage is beautiful. Just like the sale photos. Good luck with the assembly and my big tip is to recruit a helper.

I love that this frame attaches to the bed we already like and want to keep. We just wanted black out curtains to make it easier to sleep! But it’s just really fragile. The poles have broken off in three places now. We lashed it together with rope a couple times but at this point i think it’s dead. About a year after we got it.

The amount of times I accidentally sat or weighed down on the curtains and it still didn’t come down-makes me not wanna believe the reviews on this product. Do I think it’s the sturdiest thing ever? No, but I think it’s sturdy enough to last at least months. Worked out perfectly for me. Looks great in black for my vibe. And assembling it was very easy-took 10 mins maybe with 2 people

The length and width of this product is not true to size… I got the full and queen states it’s the same size… which is not true especially if you have a head board. I have a queen and I good have 1 more length pole and 1 more width pole.After I forced the assembly to make it fit the queen bed and was also proven not to be sturdy.

I was skeptical on purchasing this after reading the reviews. Honestly I'm happy I purchased it. A lot of reviews said it was flimsy which I wouldn't agree with entirely. It definitely was not made to be a jungle gym but for an adult using it as room decor I've had no issues. It's not as if I'm flailing around in my bed kicking it or anything of the sort. It holds up my canopy beautifully and I love my room so much more with this new addition. Take into consideration that most reviews are generally from people who have had a negative experience. Most people who are satisfied with a product tend to just keep it to themselves and just be happy about it. However I would like to say it is worth the price and it's pretty with a canopy.... just not made for children in my opinion.
