This kit is amazing it came 2 days ahead of the estimated time. Fun easy model kit to build the articulation is really good better than some gundam hg kits. Some nit picks I have are some areas need a little glue but only because I'm constantly changing the pose and the big sticker for the axe doesn't fit properly but other than that very solid kit and thinking about buying another to make a black optimus prime

My 15 year old son is Autistic and has recently discovered a love of building models, and more complex lego sets.For Christmas he wanted an 'Optimus Prime' model - he has been obsessed with Transformers since he was a little guy. I had looked at quite a few different models and settled on this one because of it's price point, and how 'easy' it looked.He was able to assemble it entirely on his own, and very quickly as well.He loves it very much.

What I was looking for

This model offers a wonderfully stylized version of the classic character. As a big Optimus fan, I had to pick this up. The parts go together nice and snug. There are some parts that will disengage with handling, but that's because it is a _model kit_. It's nothing that a few tiny dabs of super glue won't fix, if it bothers you. The joints are firm but not overly tight. The elbows and knees are double jointed, and the torso has a number of segments so you can get all kinds of dynamic poses.The real downer is the decals. Some are too big or too small (on the helmet), some are simply too tiny to peel off the backing and apply. With one, the printed surface of the decal separated from the sticky layer when I was peeling it off the backing, which meant I had to leave that particular set of decals off. The big decals for the axe blade do actually fit as intended, but they don't stay stuck down reliably.Now, those are a lot of words spent on something that won't ruin this model: It looks great even without any of the decals. If you like painting your models, there are plenty of details for you to work with. I give this product four instead of five stars because of the decal issue, and because there weren't more optional hand poses, which seem like a no-brainer for a modal that is otherwise so expressive.See the photo of the model alongside some recent Optimus Prime toys from Hasbro to get an idea of its size.

This figure is amazing. I took the liberty of painting it myself as I prefer a more metalic look. Prices are simple to assemble and the end result is an amazing posable figure. Very nice.

This was my first transformer kit! Really brought me back to my childhood building this one! Great kit, fun to build

Amazing replica from IDW comics. One of the coolest Optimus Prime model kits. Not the easiest directions, however, if you are use to making Gundam models, you wont have a problem with this one.

Great seller. I did not like the arms parts a little unstable. Obviously it does not transform because it is a model (buy the toy if you want to transform). 3 stars for the arms.
