Length of Velcro too short to allow proper adjustment
I have tried a number of these chin straps promoted as one size fits all or S/M. This one had a little over 2" of Velcro when the hook & loop are aligned. That allows for about 1" of tightening or loosening - not very much leeway to get a form tightening. An adjustment greater than 1" risks the Velcro not holding together. The Velcro used by the makers is notoriously weak (psi holding power varies). In order to be truly adjustable, either lengthen both the hooks & loops to allow for more offset.Over time, the chin strap material may stretch, requiring more tightening. The risk now, assuming the Velcro is done properly to allow for additional tightening, the chin straps with ear cutouts (not particular to this item) the cutout will eventually NOT be where the ear is located.Future buyers of any chin strap needs to ascertain how the Velcro is aligned.I don't know if this is allowed but I did find a chin strap that solved the dilemma of how to use the Velcro to allow for maximum adjustment. The straps have approximately 2" of hook material at the end of each strap and the rest of the strap is made with the loop material. This allows for virtually unlimited tightening.

Not good with cpap
The velcro is not padded. I have a bald head and its terrible. The chin area is not even indented to align. I wear a cpap and this will not work with it. I couldn't even wear it one night. Will be sent back.

takes a bit of getting used to - and does not last very long
updated: i had to replace this strap after 6 months; it basically was disintegrating. Little pieces were falling off and it was falling apart. There was no way it was going to make it to 9 months. I reduced my score from a 4 to a 3.This strap is not the most comfortable CPAP strap i have used, but it is the most stable. I've been using it for 10 weeks and use this strap to keep my mouth closed while I wear a CPAP nasal pillow style mask. The good news is that this strap will never move or slip off, it's impossible since it wraps around your head like a helmet. The soft fabric will get rougher over time especially because i have a beard which roughs it up but it is still OK. There is a fairly thick velcro closure on the top back which takes some getting used to. I sleep on my back so my head rests on it sometimes. It's very noticeable even through thick hair. The material has not stretched one bit since i started using it. You can get an idea of the tightness and feel of this strap because most straps like this need to be tightened over time as they stretch. Not this one, it's tight and doesn't change at all; not after 10 weeks. I am not sure if it is possible to have better comfort and this level of firmness; i think it's preference. Overall I think the longevity, firmness, and stability of this strap are it's best attributes, not comfort. But i can sleep with it...

Stretches out of shape quickly
Did not receive the item as pictured but gave it a try anyway. Worked ok but even though it’s adjustable, it fit only the smallest setting out of the box and I don’t have a small head. It quickly stretched to where it didn’t fit snugly anymore and the layers of fabric separated after just a few weeks of use. It started to smell but wouldn’t survive even hand washing. Would not recommend.

Actually works
Effectively keeps the mouth closed to prevent snoring or air leak if using C-PAP. My husband uses it in combination with his pillow mask C-PAP. Very satisfied.

I've used two other brands/styles of chin straps in the past and they were not nearly as good in quality as this one. Very happy with the purchase!

Caused allergic reation from smell
When I opened the pkg. the chemical smell was so bad that it caused me to stuff up from allergic reaction starting last evening when I opened it. Today I have an allergic reaction continuing, even with taking allergy meds, with stuffed ears and dizziness from them. Also have a headache and stuffed sinuses. Whatever chemical is in that mask is something that I cannot tolerate even being near. The mask is the only different thing I've encountered since yesterday except for the pillow which is memory foam, but I've used those before. There were also no directions or any list of what the mask is made from and it wasn't the same mask as in the picture, If I could give this product a -10 stars, I would and I couldn't even try it to see if it would work.

Not impressed.
As one who does suffer from apnea and needs a device to keep my mouth sht at night, I found this to be clums to use, and worse yet, very hot to wear. It was uncomfortable. I will try to use it again in the winter months when I keep my bedroom considerable cooler than I can in the summer.
