This is a box of a “First to Five” game. Everything you need is included, it even includes the ink pens for scorekeeping. There are clue cards and scorekeeping pages.. It is played a lot like Outburst, which I really enjoy playing. Therefore, I feel sure we will have a lot of fun with this game at future family get-togethers.! I recommended highly!

What a fun game for families! My eight year old and twelve year old both enjoy playing it with my husband and me. I'm always impressed by Skillmatics products and this game is no exception - it's both fun and educational!

I ordered this for my teenage son and myself to play, as we have game days frequently. This game is very well made with a sturdy box and it actually includes pens for the writing tablet, which I've never seen a game include. It feels high quality. We've played several games of it now and while it isn't our favorite, it is still enjoyable. Some of the categories are very challenging given the letters provided, and we both got stuck several times, which felt frustrating. It's a simple concept that most anyone could learn easily, but the game itself can be difficult, depending on which letters and category you draw.

I have ordered several different Skillmatics products and I have been happy with them all. The First To 5 game comes complete with pens that all worked for writing and a large paper tablet. The directions are well written and are fairly easy to understand how to play the game. The game cards are decent and seem durable. I like how compact the size of this game is and it makes it easy for taking with the family on vacation. I really like this game but the age range may very if an 8 year old can really play the game. Team play may be better if you have a mix of adults and younger kids but this game can be fun for all! I did notice at this time this game is also so in a bundle with other games for a good price...I would go with the bundle. These would also make wonderful family gifts.

This is a very simple game to learn and we really wanted to like it but there aren't enough specific rules to make the game make sense. The category will say something like "things that you shouldn't laugh at", and people can just write whatever they want to without any limits, so it's difficult to give points. While it is a bit of a silly game that could use some work, it will definitely get everyone laughing if nothing else.

This is such a cool game! Very fun for family game nights - kids to grandparents, everyone enjoys it. The concept is simple, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The set is all inclusive - even includes pens and a note pad (both very good quality - not just added as a fill-in-the-blank) so you don't have to go hunting for supplies when you settle down to play. I used this in my friends group, at an all-girls' (women, really) tea-party, and even with this age-group this simple game was a hit!
