Silicone mats insulate against heat. I have these covering a plastic folding table where I have heat producing items. These silicone mats are also slip resistant. Now the table will be safer from people setting down hot items, and people will be safer from pulling hot equipment onto their feet. They initially had wrinkles. They wrinkles gradually eased out from the weight and thickness of the mats. Two mats cover a folding table nicely, making it easier to keep clean also.

I love the size of these mats. They have great value for the price. Well made and good quality. Durable. Slip resistant. I also like the clear and plain color personally. They are easy to clean and put away as well. Almost want more even though I don’t need them. Hah!

I use these for glues up for woodworking projects. They are huge and heavy which makes them perfect for protecting my workbenches. I give them 5 stars for the quality and the price (2 for under $30). Any other silicone mat advertised specifically for woodworking would be double or triple the cost. It’s really infuriating when they mark them up like that.

Yes the description says "clear" but the pictures show exactly what type of clear and I was happy that the mats came true to the pictures. I wanted the biggest one possible to cover my kitchen island and got a 2 pack which was a great deal. I cut one to put between the top of a microwave and a wood bread box. It was easy to mark and cut and I was able to easily wash off the Sharpie marks too. Nice thickness to cushion and even though it came folded, I had no problem getting the crease out. It does come with a thin film on it but once you remove that it's not sticky. The film does make both mats stick to each over so you will want to remove that. My microwave gets pretty hot so it does a good job of keeping the heat off the bottom of my wood bread box to protect it.
