Cabinet damaged in transit. SELLER/SHIPPER cs service AWESOME!
5 stars because of the Seller/Shipper. Phenomenal customer service like years ago! Remember those days?But..the AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE was horrible. I THOUGHT I had to use them at one point so I did a chat. I was transfered to 2 additional people. THE third person put me on hold and NEVER RETURNED TO THE CHAT. The metal cabinet (Peukc)with tempered glass doors that lock couldn't have been more perfect for me to use in my project area in our new garage. I'm pretty careful and easy on everything we've ever owned being female, unlike my husband that needs monster products. This isn't that, it would have been good for my medium/light items I use alot so the glass doors make it nice. It would also be perfect for storing heavy outdoor Carhart Bibs/heavy winter coats and boots when winter is over. When it was delivered there was a large hole in the outside cardboard. All but one panel and both doors were not damaged. I thought for sure pieces of tempered glass would come rolling out but the doors were fine. One panel was particularly the worst, damaged exactly like the rest; crinkled bends in all like areas except this piece also looked like it was punched multiple times in a 12"x12" area. I wasn't happy. I explained to the seller by online chat text the extent of the damage. I was assured (within hours) that they would follow this problem to the end. You know what I was thinking! The only thing they needed were pictures...ok, understandable. I send pics everyday so piece of cake! Nope, not so much. I tried 2 different ways on the system with the same message always coming back to me that it wasn't accepting my pics. I again text the seller/shipper with my problem and told him if Amazon cs service could relay you the pics that would solve it all. That wasn't a possibility. There were several other conversations w/ the seller and every time they got back to me by the time I was able to look to see if they responded. Sure enough it was sitting there on the screen ready for me to read. In the end they really did keep their original promise of following thru and corrected the problem. Pretty impressive!

Good functionality and value
Very sturdy and stylish. Solid metal and glass construction. Good price. You don't need to install lighting if you bring forward the contents closer to the glass itself, instead of burying it deep towards the back. The doors are soft-close in a way, when you throw the door gently inward, it finds the magnet on it's own and fully seats. The black color really hides dents/scratches well, and is easy to use any black touch-up paint on if damage occurs. Doors do not make any creaking noises at all when opening and closing, very smooth quiet operation, so it won't wake anyone up or give you the nails on chalkboard feeling. Has a good seal all around, so it keeps dust out well and reduces need for frequent cleaning.

High Quality when not Damaged
I purchased 4 of these a month ago, and finally got around to building the last one.TL; DR. I'm very pleased with this purchase. They are a lot of metal and heft for the money. These will last forever. However, they're not perfect, and you should not be surprised if you get dent-and-ding items which show significant scratches and dents, even if the package arrives with zero signs of damage.First, beware of the weight. These are quite heavy due to the glass, which is thick yet very high quality. You may need help moving these to your build location. Also, you should built it near where you want to set it, if you have the room. With that said, the doors are the heaviest part, and you could 100% build the unit completely, without installing the shelves and doors, and them move it and install those once set in place. You don't want to level the feet until it's in the final location anyway.Overall, these pieces are well engineered for fairly rapid construction. The instructions, while not really needed for somebody who has done a lot of assembly and is mechanically inclined, are very clear. If you have a powered screwdriver or drill, and a large open workspace, you can build a unit in 40m. My first unit took 1h 5m, and the last one 40m. That was working alone. There is high consistency in the overall packaging, and the package designer hit a home run here. This is EXCEEDINGLY well packed to mitigate damage. Every metal and glass surface is protected from the other surfaces with a thin sheet of foam. Hardboard on the sides. Thick styrofoam and metal endcaps. These boxes can take a serious hit with low risk of damage. The hardware provided is high quality, and in abundance. Each unit had exactly the same number of extra pieces of hardware. The manufacturer thought ensure that a few extra pieces of hardware were provided for commonly lost pieces which can fall out, such as the plastic glass retainers, and the spring-loaded rod which serves as the top of the door hinges. The instructions even go so far as to note that these pieces may fall out, and if they are missing, to get them from the hardware packet. Bravo. In my case, I was indeed missing 1 of the spring-loaded hinge rod, and 2 glass retainers. If the extra rod not been included, I wouldn't have been able to complete the build. Again, BRAVO.Now for the complaints...I applaud the designers for providing a way to level the feat without lifting the unit, but it needs a bit of additional engineering to make it simpler to use. A cylindrical sleeve installed between the hole and the foot screw top would make it MUCH easier to guide a screwdriver to is hidden home. The fact that you can't see what you are trying to turn combined with the fact that it's an open void makes it more annoying that it should be.Honestly, I would rather have acrylic plexiglass than glass windows. That would easily have 10 to 15 pounds off of the unit, if not more. Plexiglass is also more resistant to breakage, but not scratching. I would also think the price could be lowered a fair bit of acrylic plexiglass were used. There are display curious for sale in this price range which have far more acrylic glass than this has glass, for the same or less money. Finally, acrylic would prevent sun damage of items inside, whereas glass would not. I strongly recommend to offer a separate item with acrylic. It will be easier for one person to move and manage due to weighing a lot less, it will cost less (or sell for the same with higher profit margins), and will be better suited for collectibles. Finally, now for the big one: there is no doubt in my mind that already scratched and dented items were shipped to me. All four boxes arrived pristine and unopened (no previous cut tape, etc). Yet, one of the side panels and top panels on one of the units has substantial scratches. Another unit had a corner to the bottom cross member which was significantly bent; bent enough to prevent installation. So, that's 2 out of 4 that arrived with 1 or more damaged pieces. Yikes.Fortunately, with a vice and vice-grips I was easily able to fix the corner to complete the build of one damaged unit, and the cabinet top and side are hidden of the other unit are hidden view, so the scratches don't bother me.There is NO WAY these items were damaged in transit. The surrounded packing material was 100% intact. No, these were damaged when they were packaged. Which means that either- The manufacturer has low quality control and these damaged pieces were simply missed- The manufacturer has low quality standards and these pieces were deemed acceptable- The manufacturer is repacking returns and shipping back out to cut their lossesI don't know which one is the case, but none of them are acceptable. Again, it is IMPOSSIBLE that these items were damaged in shipping. The boxes had virtually no dings, and the surrounding packing materials were totally pristine. They were damaged when packaged. How that happened is unknown. But it happened.Another complaint: communication. Though I did not have to seek customer assistance to complete my assembly, I did email them (three times) to ask how I could purchase shelves separately. Crickets. Not a single reply. That's a bit disconcerting. What if I had an issue preventing me from assembling? Now, with all that said, why am I giving 4 stars? Simple: VALUE. While there were issues, I was able to quickly and easily work around the issues, I was able to complete the assembly on my own, and at the end of the day even though they have some scratches and dents, they're not visible for my case as I hvae the units ganged together to form a wall, and I was able to place the damaged unit on the inside. Only I know the scratches are there. For ~ $600 for 4 units, this is a MASSIVE amount of high quality, heavy duty storage. The price is right, even taking into account the issues, which for me weren't a big deal. For you, they may be.Finally, I would love to get a response on how to purchase additional shelves.

Great purchase!
Really great for the price. Delivery and shipping time was great. Pretty easy to put together. My husband took the pieces out of the box and took them downstairs to put together as they are big and heavy to take down all at once! There are some dents in some of the pieces but they don't detract from the finished product and for the price I certainly cant complain. I have purchased these in a shorter version before and those turned out great too
