Hubby had foot surgery and needed to ice for weeks.. Ice bags were uncomfortable and also got too cold after a while. I ordered this and he was so happy. He said if felt much better on his ankle and also loved the velcro to secure in place.. Very helpful when laying in bed too. He was thrilled

Thought this seemed cheap but these are now mu new favorite ice packs. Separation of the squares makes it easy to wrap around my ankle and it holds the cold for much longer than my gel packs

When it arrived, it was in a very small package. However, after looking at the directions and following the directions it made sense. The ice packs I used without the cover for surgery recovery and they worked like a charm to help with the pain. I would def recommend!

This arrives in freeze-dried packaging, light as a feather. Other reviewers said there was nothing to freeze in the ice packs - they must be submerged in water for 5 minutes to hydrate, then freeze or microwave. This is super simply made, like I could have made it with my basic sewing skills. Basically, there is a rectangular pocket to hold the ice/heat pack with a velcro closure at the end. An elastic strap is attached with velcro at the end of the strap to secure ice pack in place. It comes with a plastic bag cover to put the ice pack in before inserting into the cloth pocket. My guess is the bag keeps the ice pack from dehydrating so you don't have to soak it again. I wish it had come with a bag for each ice pack, but I just put the second one in a half gallon Ziplock. I also noted when I tried the pack in the microwave, I didn't put it in the plastic bag and after it cooled, it had diminished and I had to rehydrate it in water. I gave this 5 stars simply for the cost vs effectiveness and this is a great product. (I used it for my knee. I suspect the elastic wouldn't fit around a waist bigger than 34-36")

The filling came out of the "ice packs" while I was wetting them as per instructions. Had to clean the sink and my hands of the foamy insides. Went into the trash. Will not order again.

Works well with me and other body parts I would definitely consider buying another one
