The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is hands down one of the best indoor cameras I’ve used. The 4K UHD resolution is incredibly sharp — you can clearly see faces, pet details, or anything going on in the room, even when zooming in. The color night vision is a game-changer too, offering vivid clarity in low-light without the typical grainy black-and-white footage.Setup was quick and painless using the Eufy app, and I love that it’s compatible with Apple HomeKit (along with Alexa and Google Assistant). The 360° pan and tilt feature makes it feel like you have eyes everywhere — you can sweep the entire room from your phone. The auto-tracking for people and pets is surprisingly accurate. Whether it’s my dog moving around or a person entering the room, the camera smoothly follows the motion and keeps the subject in frame.It also gives me instant phone alerts with smart detection, which helps filter out background movement and keeps notifications relevant. The privacy mode and customizable zones are also a plus if you're only monitoring specific areas.Overall, this camera is packed with features that work really well and don’t feel gimmicky. UPDATED (and upgraded) REVIEW: The camera is great. The features are super. I tried the Eufy brand in lieu of more Eve cameras. Eufy advertises this Indoor E30 model is compatible with Apple HomeKit and, AND HomeKit and the Eufy app/HomeBase 380 can be used simultaneously. Indeed, this exact functionality works this way for the Eufy S3 Pro. It's easy to setup and works exactly as expected and documented--for only the S3 Pro. When it works it is REALLY great. Double functionality!Sadly, the very latest Indoor E30 4K Pan-and-Tilt camera does not fulfill its documentation. I tried the typically recommended deletes, reset and reinstalls. I tried activating HomeKit from the camera settings AND the HomeBase settings. After over a week of Eufy tech support, I received this reply:"Thank you for your patience and for providing logs and screenshots again.Regarding your question, it appears that the issue you are experiencing is related to a feature that has not yet been activated. This specific feature you mentioned is part of an upcoming update. Currently, it is not available, but we are actively working to make it available in the future.We understand your frustration and sincerely appreciate your understanding while we work to resolve this issue."If ever this works, I'll update the review, assuming I keep the camera without the HomeKit automation I wanted.Eufy responded. They kept up a dialog (both AI--and "human", I think) about my concerns, I respect their actions to "hold me harmless" for the purchase, and I am a satisfied Eufy customer. I will keep the working devices and wait for the resolution of the HomeKit issue with the E30.

There is t anything wrong with these. They are great cameras wi tv a nice feature set. And they setup easily in HomeKit either directly or after being setup in the manufacture’s application.However if you are a HomeKit user and don’t plan to use the manufacture’s app there are a few things you should know beyond what the listing tells you.Yes as the listing says because of HomeKit limits you will only get 1080p not 4K video.But also you will not be able to pan and zoom in HomeKit. If you create action zones in HomeKit you really do need to leave the camera in the same position for it to work correctly. The AI (if you can really call a follow function AI) features don’t work when paired to HomeKit. If you set a default position in the app and then pair to HomeKit you will loose that data and need to do it again. They did NOT expose the ability to update firmware to the HomeKit so you will need the application and to have it paired if you want to update the camera. You can pair to the app and then to HomeKit and have both but if you pair to HomeKit first you will need to reset the camera to pair to the application.So. It is a great camera and does all it says with the application. And it is a good HomeKit camera but all of the bells are snipped if you use it with HomeKit. So the review I have seen that point to an order version being better for HomeKit really make sense now.
