Life Saver
Been struggling with a failing wifi driver now for several weeks. Cant update, goes down multiple times daily. Only way to fix it was to reboot and then it might work for a few hours or a few minutes. Got this one because it said the driver was built in and did not need to be downloaded. With the bad wifi driver I had I wasnt sure that I would even be able to download a new driver. This worked like a charm, Plug and play for real. Plugged it in, new driver installed, I disabled the old one and have been using it problem free for two weeks now. LOVE how easy it was....and I'm a senior!

No Way?
So, I am looking at this product and thinking - no way this little thing can possibly do any good. Guess what... It works perfectly. My wireless was always a bit slow, but after I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 5000 series laptop from 8.1 to 10, the wireless slowed to the point that it was unacceptable.. Tried all the usual solutions - no help.I have used other Plugable products so I thought I would give this a try. I appreciate good customer service, but what happened was simply over-the-top. Plugable Technologies sent me a link to download a driver even before I received the product. Once I received the product, the set up was easy and my wireless is now at lightning speed. What a difference. The tiny blinking light on the device assures me that the wireless is working. In my case, I actually ended up with a WiFi 2 setting which had to be set up and connected. I also determined, in my case, that it was helpful to disconnect my original WiFi setting so that only the WiFi 2 with the Plugable device was functioning as the main network adapter. When I have to reboot or restart my laptop, I notice that sometimes the system reverts to the old WiFi network adapter setting. No big deal. I simply disconnect it and re-activate or connect the new Plugable WiFi 2 setting. This gets a strong recommendation.Update: Have used this for almost one month and still works great.

They work great!
OLD REVIEW: They work, kinda.I expected a little more range out of these. I tried in both Linux and Windows, and the distance and stability was inadequate for use on a headless machine. I kept them because in an emergency situation these would be better than nothing. I ordered two of these, and they both performed the same.NEW REVIEW: My earlier review panned them. The manufacturer/distributor contacted me offering to replace, refund or whatever would make me happy -- I kept them anyway. These little units don't like a failing AP, I found out. After several months, I lost all wireless connectivity and replaced the AP. Out of curiosity, I plugged these units in, and they worked like champs. No problem with connections, great speeds. If for no other reason, I am going to carry one of these in my fix-it bag, and use them as a "canary in a coal mine" If they won't work, it's early warning to switch out or upgrade an AP.

Great Price, exactly what it's advertised to be.
Having recently converted to all wireless in the house, needed a wireless network connection for a windows 7 desktop. The choice was to install a PCI expansion card or go with a USB wireless device. Went the USB wireless device because it's so much easier to install and easier to move if I need to use it somewhere else. Plugged this in to the system with no connection to the internet, loaded the mini cd with the drivers and ran the very easy to find windows 7 install executable and wireless was up and running in about a minute. Seriously easy. After that, it looks to windows like any internal wireless adapter would look like on any laptop.
