So far it has worked well, but you have to download the AutoPro X app onto your phone and update the firmware on the AutoPro X, then follow the easy setup instructions. I have used it to connect the Samsung Dex of my Galaxy S22 Ultra to a 2022 Lincoln Aviator (that has wired Android Auto), 2024 Fiat 500e (with wireless Android Auto), and a generic Amazon head unit (with wireless Android Auto). Each of these set ups took a few minutes the first time to figure out how to unpair the phone from the head unit and make sure it connects to the AutoPro X, but eventually it becomes it easy. If you are only using this with one vehicle, connectivity would be much easier, but at the current price I couldn't justify buying multiple units yet. The small size may be a cause for concern with overheating on extended use for road trips, but I haven't had that problem yet.

Falla constantemente en conectarse. La finalidad es usar inalámbricamente android auto o del dex pero con tantas fallas la mayoría de las veces tengo que conectarlo manualmente cuando funciona y las otras termino usando el cable para android auto.

Below this is my initial review. I'm happy to say it no longer applies to this product! After a software update, the unit functions perfectly as intended. This is an insanely cool product, and as far as I know the only one of it's kind. Not only is this a solid wireless android auto adapter, but dex in your car?! So cool. Connection works, audio works, doesn't disconnect. Looks like this issues have been resolved, but don't stop improving! Keep the updates coming. 5 Stars all the way. Well done. ________________________________________________________________________________________ I want to preface this review by saying I work in IT, have been rooting and flashing roms on android phones since the original droid, and am no slouch when it comes to tech, so this is not a case of user error. Dang. This would have been AWESOME if it had worked. I don't even care that the icons are small and the screen is a little distorted. The fact that you have a full DEX in your car would have been great. However, too good to be true. -Disconnects every 30 seconds or so. Making it completely unusable. -After update, could not even discover via dex -SLOW (again, wouldn't have care, if it has stayed connected) -Audio did not work. Again, amazing IDEA, but unfortunately it's just a prototype that isn't ready for the real world. Can't wait until they get this to work, I'll be first in line for the working model, but this ain't it. Wait another year or so and maybe they'll have a solid release, and HOPEFULLY some competition. The tech is clearly possible, just not even close to ready for a wide release. 2 stars because even though it didn't work, it's a cool idea I hope gets fleshed out.

My old review: I got the AutoPro X Android Auto Wireless Adapter Samsung DeX to connect my phone (S8) to my car display (CRV 2015). I hope to get the Navigation from Android Auto option. Even though both my car and phone were listed in the "should work" list, this item does not work. I spent several hours with customer support and a lot of time researching the problem to find out that this item should not work in my situation, so the seller should not list this device as "should work" for my devices. The seller must make a correct list of cars and phones, which we can use the product, not vise versa! My new review comes after an interaction with customer care. During this interaction, rep 1) proved that they did provide an accurate description of the item in the tables, which can be found at the end of their item description, so I have to take back my statement on bad item description at least partly. 2) The second rep offered me a refund while I could keep the item, implying that I did not return the item and just trying to get it for free. This in particular is a false statement, as I have proof of returning the item. How does this change my opinion about this product? 1) I give this product 3 stars instead of one, the best would be to give no stars, just because I can not evaluate the merit of this product. 2) I still think that item has to be described better. The customer should see the compatibility right at the beginning of the description, and not at the end. When I selected this item I kept opening several Amazon windows on products that can do the same, and eventually missed the compatibility issue. This would not happen if the compatibility would be described right away. At least the item introduction should have a reference to compatibility tables at the end. 3) Let me make it clear: my interaction with customer care was mostly positive, but the way that my refund was discussed, implied that I did not return the item and that just trying to get it for free was disgusting.

This is great I love it only reason I'm giving it four stars is sometimes not all the time the device and the app gets glitchy. It's like sometimes there's communication issues between the device and my phone. This isn't all the time but sometimes. And there's communication issues sometimes been the device and it's own app. Other then that it does what it's supposed to do. I just wish there a way to adjust the screen resolution cause when your in Dex mode the icons are really small on the screen on my 2020 Silverado trailboss LT. It only has the base radio so the screen resolution isn't really high. Other then those things. It was really easy to setup, and since I gotten it there has been a few software updates making it more stable from disconnecting or causing a lag....when it works, it works great!
