Once installed, I found no flaws in the operation or use of these hood lifts for my 2010 Chrysler 300C with a 5.7L Hemi, and an interwoven Chrome bar style grill like a Bentley. Ahh... my favorite car. The hood lifts consistently supported the hood in the fully open position, without any sagging whatsoever. I found these hood lifts to be relatively easy to install The design, manufacturing, and quality of the materials used in these hood lifts, were flawless. Think at full extension, this hood support is slightly longer than noted here, which worked great! Seems to be good quality lift support with snug fit to both ends. In the photos from the seller, both sides appear to be flat. But, the side that fits the body is slightly curved, another plus for my model! Not to mention a good value for the $. Also ladies in doubt, this is super easy to install yourself. Just find a hood prop that you can sit safely between a smooth, solid body part and the hood, jic. I used an 18" metal vacuum cleaner extension on a flat metal part of the engine, making sure if it slid, it would not harm anything. I started at the body, removed the old clip on car, connected the new end, and repeated steps for hood end (one side at a time). At first it seemed too small, it isn't! Just needs to be directly on the hub and a firm press. Both clip parts come off completely, and the new ends replace all. On the hood end you will need to pull the hood slightly down to meet it. Used a small flat head screwdriver to pry out clips. Was careful to not drop anything inside the engine. And, gave the hood a gentle close the first couple of times. Hood now opens effortlessly! :)

New car to me. First time I opened the hood to work on the engine, the hood almost clocked me in the head. Got on the net & ordered these hood struts. A couple days later, these came. It only took about 5mins to install. No more decapitating me or amputating my hand. Totally worth it.
