Was debating between this and star brite. Chose this one because it's liquid vs gel on Star brite. I figure it is easier for liquid to get in gaps, even though it drips more easily. After using it, im very pleased with the results, very easy to apply and dries quickly. The color is very nice and matches my light color teak furniture perfectly. it leaves matt finish which feels very premium.

Pretty expensive for a small can of sealer but the teak looks amazing after. You can put multiple codes of paint and there is no streaking. The durability has yet to be evaluated since I just put this on but only time will tell. Doing my research, this is a product that is used on both and as such, patio furniture is no problem. It dries quickly and a table and four chairs.

Have two teak steamer chairs that are about 14 years old. They are in good condition and not a weathered grey. Wanted to give them a fresh look, more natural teak color, but most "teak oil" products are not really good for teak wood (so I have read on the internet). Found this product Danish Teak Sealer by Total Boat on Amazon. Did more research through the internet regarding the product before I purchased and was satisfied with the reviews and product details that it would meet or exceed my expectations. The product was packaged and delivered with no problems. Total Boat included -stir sticks, 2 plastic containers, 2 foam brushes, 2 strainers and even protective gloves. You don't get that kind of attention to detail anywhere else. Prepared the chairs by lightly sanding with a palm sander, 120 and 80 grit sand paper. Cleaned all residue off chairs. Finally, application of sealer. Product applied very nice, it is "watery" if that is the correct term and did not need a lot of product to cover the wood. I took my time and made sure the application was even and no drips or runs. The wood finished as one would expect with teak (if it has not greyed) to a warm honey color. Absolutely, completely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend for any teak application. I actually used it on three wood top tables (not sure of the wood) and the finished result was very satisfactory. The wood does have a "paint" smell so it is best to allow the wood to vacate for a few days in fresh air. I think this would be standard with any type of paint/sealer application. I highly recommend the product. Of course always test an area to be sure the end results will be what you want.

Application was quick and easy—goes on smooth with a foam brush and wipes down without much fuss. That part I liked. What I didn’t like is the color. Nowhere in the description was there any indication that this wasn’t a clear sealer, yet the product has a noticeable orange tint. The instructions suggest applying it to an inconspicuous area first, but in my case, that wasn’t practical—I live an hour and a half away from the nearest Amazon return point, so once I opened it, it was either use it or eat the cost of two quarts. End result: I now have two Adirondack chairs that look day-glo orange. Comfortable chairs, yes—but not the natural cypress look I wanted. Hopefully the color fades with time, but I wish the product listing had been clear about the tint before I bought.

This sealer is orange in the can with opacity. I want to seal my teak but alter the color as little as possible.
