True Mods 16 Inch 12 Red LED Trailer Light Bar Strip [Brake + Sequential Turn Signal][DOT FMVSS 108 SAE S2I6U2PS] IP67 Submersible Rear Running Center Marker ID Tail Lightbar 80" Marine Boat Trailer

As lights, these are indeed VERY bright which was what I am looking for as replacements on my open car hauler whose lights are way down low. I like the 3 dot marker style lighting as tail-lamps - really helps grab attention from those following when stop or turn signal emitted. That said, had similar issue as person w/ 2017 F250 on my 2016 F150 tow vehicle (sometime will test w/ another vehicle and see if issue repeats). With Ford's ignition off they worked BEAUTIFULLY (wired up yellow or green to trailer's existing Stop/Turn lights initially). Perfect sequential turn signaling and brake lights. However... with motor running the Ford CANBUS (or whatever Ford calls it) system is always 'pulsing' to test system looking for missing lights etc. (ran into similar issue w/ an accessory I tried adding to my F150). Anyhow, when vehicle ignition is running this causes lights to not function w/ sequential flash turn signal but instead 'pulsed' entire unit. Also briefly pulsed when stop signal sent. Ended up re-wiring only stop/high signal (red wire) from each light to corresponding side Stop/Turn wire and worked mostly as normal (one side occasionally gets 'stuck' on when vehicle unlock initiated but clears with motor running or re-locked). Anyhow, again these are really bright replacement lights which fit bill. The LEDs seem very efficient to others I purchased and suspect a small resistor might help abate all issues...at least with an F series tow vehicle. 25 Day Review Followup: Have towed ~ 1,500 miles thru multiple heavy storms and lights are functioning extremely well re: brightness. These are great for narrow applications where you don't want to sacrifice clear stop/turn signaling. A solid replacement light!

Item is as advertised. Prompt delivery. I replaced an identical unit with this so install was easy. I would point out that this unit is very bright.

If you have a RV, this LED light bar is a must for safety. I've mounted mine on the spare tire cover so it's right at eye level for the driver behind you. It's a smart light bar - when you turn it lights the LED sequentially in the direction you are turning!! It works for stop (all lit) and parking lights (half lit) too. For the money it's incredibly cheap and effective protection against getting rear ended. It's very well made and weather proofed - a high quality product all around. This is also from Online LED Store which fully backs their products and has fantastic customer service. I had one LED go bad and they quickly replaced the light bar no questions asked. Can't beat service like that so buy with confidence.

I purchased 3 of these LED 4 Function Lights which work great. Here is how they work: If the Running Lights are ON and a turn signal is applied, the Turn Function will override the Running Lights. If the Running Lights or Turn Signal Functions are ON, the 3rd Brake Light function overrides both of them when the brake pedal is pressed (See attached video). Before mounting the light fixture, I added some clear silicone where the red lense meets the base to help keep moisture from getting into the fixture. These LED's are bright in the Brake and Turn functions are ON which you can see in the picture of the Brakes applied with the sun out. I also installed a camper top 3rd Brake Light Module for the Brake Light function to work correctly. I mainly got this light fixture for the Running Light function and the 3rd Brake Light function. I hope this light will work for a long time but some of the reviews state the turn functions stop working pretty quick. The first picture is the Running Lights Only. The second picture is the Brake Lights Only. I recommend this product.

Great light

First - this was my first time doing a complete rewire of a trailer and adding several more lights than what came from the factory. The information I provide in this review is from research of this product, the limited instructions the product came with, and my own experimentation with wiring configurations. This install was for a trailer being towed by a 2015 F150 Lariat. This appears to be a well made light. The LEDs are vibrant and bright. This light has several features but many cannot be used in conjunction with one another. As an example, I bought both the red and amber version of this product. It was my plan to have a left and right amber light and a red light at the center across the rear of the trailer. I wanted the red to be dimly lit while running and become a brake light when the brake was depressed. Likewise, I wanted the amber lights to be dimly lit and become a turn signal when the signals we activated. I quickly discovered that the red one can function as a red marker light OR a brake light but not both unless each function is on its own circuit. The same is true for the amber. It can be a marker light OR a turn signal, but it can't be wired to do both. When I tried to wire for both, the light began to flicker and didn't do much of either. Also, the mounting for this light proved to be challenging. The wiring harness coming out of the light is approximately 1/4 outer diameter however, near the base of the light it expands to approximately 1/2 inch. If you want this to flush mount properly, you need to drill a larger hole. The steel on my trailer fought numerous bits, (even brand new metal drilling bits), stepped bits, and other similar methods. Depending on where you opt to mount this, you could in for a chore. FORD OWNERS: The amber light is advertised as a sequential turn signal. However, while it will signal in a sequential pattern when your truck is off, it will not do it when the truck is fully running. Based on comments I have read and my own experience, something with the Ford circuitry doesn't allow for the sequential turn signal. Instead the amber bar will blink in time with the trucks stock turn signal. It was super disappointing but I had already mounted them when I found this out and I wasn't going to undo several hours worth of work. If you can live with that, it's a good buy.
