Glen Garioch12 Year Old Malt Whisky, 70 cl

Initial sip of this was a little disappointing but having left it for a few months and then revisited I really like this now - lovely flavour, sweet and raisins and a hint of chocolate, mild peat but not smoky.Actually worked really well with soda and ice for a long summer drink, don't hate me.

Great taste, good value, different, good ABV. One of those that I hope keeps its standards. Don't tell everyone!

At first I was a bit thrown off by this dram and was not sure what to make of it, but that only lasted a few minutes. I quickly came to realise I was drinking something far more complex and higher quality than I was used to. Of the Highland 12 yo malts, this has to be one of the best. Add a bit of water and allow it to open up, you will not be disappointed.

Superb. This might not be a stand out from the crowd bottle but it is a fantastic whisky. Hits a sweet spot between the sweetness from the Bourbon cask, the richness of sherry cask and warming spiceness.Loved every dram. A must try for whisky folk.

I bought this as I had just found out that John Manson was my GGGG Grandfathers father in law. What the hell I thought, there's a bit of family history to this whisky and I'll fork out the £40. I have tried to like it, you won't believe how hard I want to like this whisky but unfortunately I can't. I think the extra alcohol content gets in the way of the flavour here. I tried it with parmesan as well. A little dissapointed.

What a great Whisky. Strong and complex flavours; brimming with spice and honey. Benefits from a good splash of water. Initially, such smooth flavours on the palate, it is scarey to swallow in case the follow through and after taste are a disappointment. But don't fear, there are no disappointments until long after your glass is empty. Fantastic value. If I win the lottery, I'll buy the distillery!

AS always a superb whisky. I have consumed a few bottles of this fine whisky over two to three year period and find the consistency second to none. I am not a great lover of smoky peaty whiskies so this suits my palate fine. Not to everyone's taste but then we all have our preferences but I have not offered to anyone who does not enjoy savouring it.

This is a nice sipping whisky there are better expressions too numerous to mention however this for the price punches well above its weight
