Love this bowl!!
About a year ago I started noticing this style of cat bowl. The raised level and the angle seemed to make so much sense for a cat. My first order of this design from another vendor was a very stylish model that was all ceramic. I really like the bowl and so does the cat. Thing is, if it goes into the dishwasher the underside gets full of water and there is no way to drain; so basically it's useless in a DW but it is easy to clean. I just learned to hand wash. Then the other day I saw this product on Amazon. When it arrived I fell in love with it. The big difference is this bowl also has a stainless steel insert that the food goes in. Now I can put this stainless bowl in the dishwasher every day. The height and angle are perfect for a 12 lb cat. The base is made of a very stylish plastic with a pattern that goes with most any decor. It's definitely very high quality. My cat had no issues adjusting. I use for dry food; it will work great for wet food too but I feed wet food in very small quantities. This is a really nice bowl for what is usually a commodity purchase.

Works for long-nose breed!
I had doubts a 15o tilt would work for a long-nose breed, but was impressed it did!We recently inherited this 13 year old Collie X and I could see she was having some trouble getting her small kibble off her original flat stainless steel bowl and chased kibbles around inside it, even if her bowl was elevated. She would try to grasp kibble with her incisors then toss it up to catch it into her mouth. That's not ergonomic at all, is frustrating, and potentially painful if she has neck arthritis (which she very likely does). Additionally, it was taking her too long to eat in this fashion. I could see she needed a bowl design that would help funnel her kibble to a smaller area, yet still be ergonomic for her long nose.Another solution would be to give her a kibble that was more ergonomic such as a larger grip area or more irregular shape, but we currently have a several months' supply of her food. I also do not want to consider any dietary changes until after planned medical diagnostic testing. With this bowl, she can eat her 1 cup of dry kibble in 2-2.5 minutes which is at least twice as fast as with the flat bowl. She has always been a very slow eater because she is a nervous alert dog, so will stop at any sound or movement. I wouldn't consider a tilted design for water for her as she is doing well with big flat bowls and large water fountains. The stainless steel bowl should hold up well, is sanitary, and easy to clean. The sturdy hard plastic stand is functional and aesthetically pleasing. It has rubber feet on the bottom to help prevent sliding and I'd make have an even better grip - enlarging them would help. This is a 16 oz bowl and will hold at least 1 cup of dry kibble. For a perfect world, I'd make this style available also in a 24 oz and 32 oz sizes to accommodate medium-to-larger breeds with flat faces or long noses.

Good quality
What you'll want to know:- The plastic dish is thick, sturdy plastic. It's supposed to be BPA free, so you can use it as a bowl without the metal bowl liner.- The stainless steel bowl that nests inside the plastic dish is a bit thin, so it may dent easily, but it feels solid enough in my hands.- The metal bowl has a matte finish. Some dogs are weirdly skittish about eating out of shiny bowls (I have one of those) so this will help. She was able to eat out of this bowl, though still with a little trepidation.- Because the steel bowl liner is removable, it's very easy to take out and wash.- The bottom has rubber feet to keep the bowl in place. My dogs tend to scoot their dishes across the room as they eat, so this is a helpful feature.- I'm not sure how helpful the tilt feature is. It doesn't seem advantageous for my dogs, but they weren't bothered by it either.

Don't know why this works, but it's awesome for our little dog
We have had nothing but Doberman for years. Simple elevated feeders were always the go to. Recently we got a very small Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel / Miniature Poodle) and have tried various bowls. She would pull the food out, put it on the floor, then eat it. No matter the bowl, that's what she would do. Obviously this is undesirable behavior. After trying multiple bowls, we saw this was rather unique and tried it out for her. We were amazed as she would grab kibble while her head remained over the bowl, and then consume it, and grab more. All while her head remains over the bowl with nothing going on the floor.Whoever designed this is a genius, or had tiny dogs who did the same thing. The quality is also outstanding too. So this is an easy five stars in my book!

Our toy Schnauzer loves this bowl
This is actually our second bowl. We got one for our Chiweenie and liked it so much that we just had to get another one for our Schnauzer. The height and tilt and rounded bottom make these very comfortable for the dogs and the ease of taking just the bowl part out makes it easy for us to mix dog food when needed or clean the bowls. Great product!

Good quality
This is a great bowl. I was very surprised with the quality of material, both the stainless steel inner bowl and the outer plastic. I only gave it 4 stars as I have to disagree with it being 16 oz. I use a measuring cup to transfer food from the bag to the pool and a heaping cup is really pushing it. That's really the only thing I dislike about it, as I failed to notice the "for small dogs" line and have to refill it multiple times a day. Try as he may, though, he has not been able to nudge it over, which is a bad habit of his!

Awesome!!!
Love this dog bowl for my dachshund! It is the perfect size for her and it a bit raised so it’s much better for her digestive system. The outer shell is of hard plastic and the food bowl is made of meal. It also tilts so it very easy for her to reach all of her food. I am highly recommending this dog bowl!

Nice Weight - Does Not Slide
The size of this bowl is perfect for my Frenchie's short nose, and the easting position is better for her neck. I was worried that it would slide when she eats, but it has rubber on the base that keep it in place, so I have not had any sliding at all. The quality and construction of both the stainless bowl and the holder are great and I have no complaints. I recommend.
