Great little aquarium!
We’ve had this little aquarium for 5 years. The fish have just started to not swim, it was a good buy! My grandboys love it. I’m going to try and get new floaty fish. Think these may be water logged. I have no complaints about this aquarium.

Tips
You have to add the liquid dish detergent drops! Also, if it is leaking just seal the bottom with crazy glue. There is a little sponge in the vent where the air flow out. I took it off and it helped. I love it, I like the size, it’s mini and sits right next to me while I draw/paint. Very relaxing

Didn't work
Now I understand why there were so many used ones in stock. Mine didn't work at all, even after putting in batteries and using the wire provided to plug it in. Honestly it's not worth the price at all. It's really small as well.Plus I know it's a safety feature to have it shut off automatically after 4 hours, but I was hoping it would stay on as long as it was plugged in. We bought this to keep our cat occupied while we're away between times where someone comes to feed him. Doesn't serve much of a purpose for us, but some might like that it shuts off after a while. Also it's super easy for water to get into the board where the LEDs are soldered into it, not a great design tbh.

I love it!
I was disappointed at first because the fish stayed grouped together and didn’t swim around. I did what other reviewers suggested and put liquid dish soap in it and they started to swim. But the water started looking murky and it drove me crazy. I experimented and added some glycerin and a pinch of salt with one drop of dish soap. It worked and the water has stayed crystal clear. I had everything on hand so don’t rush out and buy glycerin. I may have put too much soap the first few times. I love this little aquarium.

5 stars when it was working
Right away this product would have been a hands down 5 star review! My son loved turning his fish on at night and even I enjoyed watching the fish “swim” around. Unfortunately the light stopped working after a few months which took the magic out of it at night time. I decided it was time to pull it apart to see if I could fix it. 3 stars because it no longer works, but still tempted to buy another because we enjoyed it so much when it was working.

Definitely MINI
This is a cute little toy, I bought it for my 12 month old cause he loves all things water related. First of all this thing is TINY, I have baby hands and I can palm this thing easily. The fish are so small they could definitely be a choking hazard so be careful. It took me a little while to get it running right but I figured out a few things that might help:- read the instructions, it says to add 1 to 2 drops of dish soap but after reading some of the reviews (and getting frustrated) I added a small squirt of soap instead and it helped.- plug it in to get the fishys moving, for whatever reason the batteries alone weren't moving the water around enough to get the fish going. You can tell a big difference between the battery power and the plug in power by how fast the fish move around.- if you're still having trouble, make sure the plug is secured on the top and flip the aquarium over to get the fish moving. Mine leaked a little bit but once they started really moving I flipped it back over and now they're swimming all over the place.- have patience 😅

Not A Bad Little Tank....
I got this little aquarium to replace a bar top Jellyfish Light that the motor had went out on. It's really a nice small tank and fits very well on my bar top. The one thing that I've noted from checking the other reviews on it were the size of it. It is a small little tank and as an example if you had one of those DVD storage shelves this item would fit very well on top of it and still have a small bit of room left over. It's just not a big tank. It comes with an AC adapter (4.5 volts @ 500 mA). It has three small fish (These are a bit smaller than the extra fish you normally get. Something to consider if wanting more fish as the hole on the top of the tank is barely large enough to push the fish through.) The tails of the fish are hinged and can move back and forth but you don't notice this when they are moving around. The tank also has a background picture that fits on the back of the tank which is not bad. In my case, I removed it as the bar I have the tank on, cuts the Living Room apart from the Kitchen and so I wanted the fish moving around in the tank to be seen from both the Living Room and Kitchen. Set up was easy. I suggest not filling the tank all the way to the top at first until you place the fish into it. I slightly over filled it and had to mop up a small amount of water as the fish displaced move than I felt they would. The instructions for setting it up are simple and easy to follow. Since I have the Jellyfish Light, I was aware of the 1-2 drop of liquid soap needed and also letting the water circulate a bit first. My first impression after set up and when I first turned it on, was "was in on?". That's how quiet it was and I even had trouble telling if the water was moving. At first, I wondered if it was working then I noted some very small bubbles moving around so I knew it was working. After getting the fish in the tank, I watched to see what kind of movement they had. Since the pump blows the water out from the bottom, the fish go from bottom to top most of the time and I noted they tend to "swim backward" a lot of the time as their tails something catch the current and cause them to spin a bit. I found myself sitting on my sofa just watching them move around. Overall, this was just what I wanted. A small and not over powering tank that would catch your eye and just let you sort of relax watching the show. Well, worth it!
