Be sure to note that these tabs are not held in place by adhesion, but by capture between the case of the device and an protective over-case. These tabs will not be compatible with most over-cases that cover the USB socket.These tabs will work not only for phone-sets, but for most electronic tablets with protective over-cases.These metal tabs are sufficiently durable that they will typically last longer than the user will keep his or her device, but the tabs can then be used with the next device, and with the device after that.Unfortunately, these tabs will conflict with a few auxiliary devices that use the USB socket; to get around that conflict, one can use an ordinary cable and coupler, or a male-to-female cable.

They work pretty well. Eventually the end of the loop on the little ring it comes with did open but I closed it with pliers and it seems to fix it for a while. Not bad for the price and easy to install.

Does work it purpose

I love using these for my charms on my iPhone or iPad, plus I can use them with my lanyards or keychains, Love them!! Very nicely made and haven’t had any negative things happen with them. Would recommend.

I tested these with a few old phones and cases and they worked perfectly in each case - the metal makes them nice and sturdy and I had no concerns about them pulling out from the phone. My current case, however is an otterbox defender and these don't work well with this case (the case has port plugs and only a small gap between the plugs). I anticipated having to leave the plug at least partially open, but I didn't expect them to pull out so easily.So why five stars some may ask. This review is for the Metal Phone Tether Tab 4 Pack, Heavy Duty Lanyard Tab Universal Phone Strap Patches Replacement Part:- These work as intended, strong enough to tether your phone too without any worry about losing your device.- The tabs are a bit too thick though, and make it hard to connect your device for charging.- I had to remove mine in order to make sure it would charge overnight.- I found thinner more flexible ones from another brand that did not cause this issue.- Overall, they are just ok...- Having found a better option (that does not interfere with the charging port) is why they only get 3 stars.

This is easy to install. It's sturdy. But, believe it or not, there is a right way to install this. If you install it upside down, it impedes your ability to charge your phone. The correct way is with the clip facing slightly downward.
