BTR17 Bluetooth 5.4 USB DAC AMP with LDAC, aptX Lossless. Dual ES9069Q, 10-Band PEQ, THX AAA 78+amps 3.5mm Unbalanced & 4.4mm Balanced (Black)

I had been using a Qudelix 5K, which is a phenomenal device in its own right, especially for its price, but I upgraded to the Dan Clark Audio Noire X and simply needed more power. The BTR17 connects to phone incredibly fast. It does offer multipoint connectivity. In balanced mode, it puts out an impressive 300 mw per channel, and 650 mw per channel in balanced desktop mode. One of the things the Qudelix had going for it was access to pre-tuned EQ settings for hundreds of different headphone brands and models, well, so does the FiiO BTR17. I was able to find a handful of settings for my DCA Noire X. They all seem to be based on the Harman curve, but they still came in handy. After using one of the presets, I went in with a scalpel and voila! The app offers pretty good customization, but nothing like the Qudelix 5K. You do get a ten band parametric EQ, and you can save up to ten settings. I find that it does a great job of driving my cans with a very clean, clear, neutral sound. I’ve used it for hours in balanced mode and only got below 40% battery level one time. I’ve been using my BTR17 for nearly two weeks and I love it so far. Although I don’t think you’ll find a better value than the Qudelix 5K, if you need more power, then the BTR17 is a great choice and a great value. The FiiO has another important feature, which is missing from the Qudelix: a 4.4 balanced input, where as the Qudelix is a 2.5. It’s much more difficult to find balanced 2.5 mm wires than 4.4 mm. It fits comfortably in your pocket and comes with its own faux leather protective case! I highly recommend it. Happy Listening. UPDATE: The app is a little buggy. It’s very slow to navigate from screen to screen most of the time. There’s like a 3-5 second load time. Sometimes, when I’m adjusting the EQ, it does lock up and I’m unable to swipe through the different bands. When this happens, I have to close and reopen the app. This may all get fixed with a future firmware update, but I did want to make you aware of it. Overall, I still love the device, this app nuisance notwithstanding.

I picked up the FiiO BTR17 primarily to use with a Mac and a pair of balanced IEMs (Punch Audio Martilo), and it has exceeded expectations. Over Bluetooth (AAC on macOS), it’s already very impressive — clean, stable connection, strong output power on balanced, and noticeably better clarity and control than typical Bluetooth audio. Imaging is solid and the soundstage is surprisingly open for a wireless setup. Where it really shines, though, is over USB (UAC 2.0). Switching to wired USB instantly improves depth, layering, and bass control. Transients are cleaner, EQ adjustments are more precise, and the overall presentation becomes more refined and immersive. For streaming, music, and gaming, the difference is absolutely noticeable. Balanced output provides excellent headroom, and even sensitive IEMs sound controlled and dynamic. The gain settings are useful — low gain is perfect for IEMs with a black background, while high gain offers plenty of power if needed. The hardware feels solid, the screen is clear, and the filter options allow subtle tuning if you care about that level of detail. Battery life has also been excellent in Bluetooth mode. If you’re using a Mac and want a serious step up from onboard audio — especially with balanced IEMs — this is a fantastic portable solution. Great sound quality, flexible connectivity, and real power in a compact package.

This is awesome!!! I use other less powerful bluetooth DACS including a couple from FIIO that really improved sound on the headphones I use, primarily Sennheiser 560s, 598s, 580s and 650s. Both the 580s and 650s are high impedance compared to the 560s and 598s. While they made the 580s and 650s sound much better, I didn't really think they were worth the extra money I paid for them and I came to believe the legendary 650s were over-rated. I received this last night and went first to my 650s for a test drive and this has completely changed my mind about 650s. It brings out the best in them such that they are now my favorite set, a fuller sound with more definition and expansion of a 3d effect, great details that aren't drowned out by bass or mids, much better dynamic range. This unit is easy to use, has a convenient and well tapered volume control, the size is very manageable and it comes with a case that clips to a belt or belt loop. It provides more power and transparency. This is a must-have if you utilize high impedance audiophile headphones and enjoy portable listening (my source is my Motorola Razer for both streaming and stored MP3s). I don't see how you can beat it for the price.

Sounds great, lots of features. Bluetooth connection however does not seem to hold up from kitchen to restroom in my experience. And after the one update it has, the dual BT connection seems to have issues with maintaining the connections and getting them but not all the time. The clip case it has is ok but a clip like the btr11 would of been better for easier handling. The snugness of the case also fades so the potential of the btr17 slipping out increases greatly and has already happened to me a couple times. So if instead it had a locking button to close the case, that would of been helpful too. A lock switch for the buttons would of been good too, I occasionally accidentally pause and switch tracks while it's clipped on.

Et je suis passé au planaire: casque HIFIMAN Ananda Nano et aujourd'hui le Linsoul Hidizs MP45. Le tout est associé au DAC Ffio BTR 17 + Créative BT W6. Associé au BTR17, ce MP45 est une grosse claque sonore: Tout est pure et dynamique que ce soit au niveau des basses, des médiums et des aigus. Je suis très branché Musique Métal mais tout sonne de façon incroyable pour tous les styles. L'equalizer 10 bandes est magique: ne pas hésiter à utiliser le site autoeq.app pour affiner votre son

Es mi segundo dac amp de la marca y me ha gustado bastante. Recomiendo aprender a usar los peq, así como escoger correctamente los audífonos ya que el ESS resalta los agudos

Greatly improves sound and quality of music, using my Grado headphones. After some research on DAC's this came out on top and didn't disappoint. Battery life is very good and connection via Bluetooth or via the cable provided is seamless. I recommend spending some time going through the sound settings on the device and app for preferred choice of output. Downside, app on my phone is slow but this certainly is not a deal breaker.
