Dinosaurs Activity and Colouring Book (National Geographic Kids)

Spoiler-free: A very fun activity book with lots to do and good quality pages for colouring!
This is a fun activity book for any young children who love dinosaurs. The book is about A4 in size and is filled with lots of thick matt pages of some lovely illustrations and text. Inside you are presented with lots of different and very fun puzzles and activities including wordsearches, mazes, spot the difference, dot-to-dots and colouring in. Each of the activities takes place on one page or a double page and each double page is filled with different facts about different dinosaurs. This activity book can be filled in in any order, however it does end up with talking about how the dinosaurs were wiped out, and about dinosaur skeletons towards the end of the book. Each page is fun and very colourful and I love how engaging this book feels. Apart from some drawings of dinosaurs there are also some detailed more photographic type images and I do like the mixture of different puzzles which children can tackle on each page including things like decoding messages and colouring in which is lots of fun. Each double page (or a couple of double pages or so) focuses on a different type of dinosaur such as the herbivores, omnivores, raptors, etc. and there are some brief fun facts dotted on each page in a handy 'Did You Know?' box. Some of the facts are very interesting and even I learned the odd thing about dinosaurs I hadn't heard about before.Being made of thick matt pages, this book is brilliant for colouring in. There are a few pages where you are asked to colour in some dinosaurs and there's even places to draw extra things too. The illustrations are a bit simple, but I do love how fun all the dinosaurs look and how you are encouraged to add things to some of the drawings. Colouring pencils are what I've tried using and they work really well. Felt tip pens might work too (though I haven't tried them) as the pages are quite thick, as long as they aren't pressed excessively, but as I say it's a thick paper so works well with a lot of media. There are answers to the puzzle activities at the back of the book.Overall this is a really fun dinosaur activity book which I'm sure many children will enjoy using. Apart from having some great activities for children, it's also got lots of fun facts along the way and a lot of dinosaurs that you've probably never heard of mentioned among the more well known ones like T-rex. It's a great and fun book that will provide a lot of hours of fun for dinosaur fans!

Great book to learn about dinosaurs
The book is average size paperback, for this kind of activity book. It’s from National Geographic, so you already know that the content will be very informative.I would say there is a lot more activity an puzzles than colouring, but some of the puzzles allow colouring in afterwards. There is a mixture of all sorts of things including spot the difference, word search, codes as well as plenty of things that will teach you more about dinosaurs.Overall, it’s a fun-packed book, hours of enjoyment and of a good quality.

Good activity and colouring book with dinosaurs
We have recently really gotten into learning and knowing more about dinosaurs and what’s great about this book is that it’s not just friendly dinosaur colouring. There is some really great activities in it and puzzles, so definitely good for an old child as well as younger. There is the familiar colouring pages and the more cartoon dinosaurs but there is also great photos of more realistic looking ones (well like the films/or show) too. They have the usual known dinosaurs in but also the less known ones too with their names to learn. Lots of content in the book. I prefer that it’s more a bendable book as it means it’s easier to fit in bags. This would be good from age 5 upwards. Lots of puzzles In so likely frequently played with. Great variety book and a good gift if you have just started to learn about dinosaurs too.

Can't complain
Ordered this for my 7-year-old daughter and she likes it. It kept her occupied and off the screen, which is great for both of us. The book is interesting, educational and suitable for various ages. Great.

Great activity book
Really well designed and made and loads of different activity’s. It was great for my 4yo to look at together but probably not something younger ones can entertain themselves with, although there are lots of cool dino pics. Would recommend.

Another great from Nat Geo
This is a lovely dinosaur activity/colouring book - the activities are varied and educational (as you'd expect) and a lot of fun can be had between that and colouring. Impressed - great value too.
