Godinger Honey Jar Gold Bee Themed Serverware Breakfast, Tea or Special Occasions

Just gorgeous! It made my Rosh Hashanah table!

I was looking for something to put my Vitamin B in on my bathroom counter, it was late at night, I was doing what I shouldn’t be doing, which is shopping online, but here we are. I wanted something bee-related so I would associate it with Vitamin B, and I searched and searched and finally landed on this. So can I review it for how it is for honey - absolutely not - but I can tell you it makes me happy when I look at it on my bathroom counter, that little bee filled up with vitamins, and it’s good quality, sturdy, and just downright cute God damnit. I showed everyone my Vitamin Bee, and everyone liked it, but I’m definitely obsessed. I don’t care how stupid it all sounds, sometimes it’s the joy in the little things 😁 and it makes me actually want to take my Vitamin B every day.

I ordered this adorable little bee after seeing several so called "vintage" ones on Ebay for over one hundred dollars each. I will use it as a sugar dish next to the coffee for our rustic, honey bee themed wedding. It is absolutely adorable. Not cheap like I had read in other reviews. I was actually surprised that it was made as well as it is for only thirty dollars. It will be an amazing little added detail, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. To those who have not seen other pictures of this item, please know that the picture above shows the bee with honey in it. That gives its body an amber coloring. The actual bee body is clear glass. The server I received was a spoon and not like the one shown in the picture. I was actually happier with that. It works beautifully. There is a small screw at the base of the bee that will allow you to disconnect the body from the head so that it may be washed. I had intended to spray paint the bee gold to match our wedding colors; however, the silver plating is so shiny and elegant that I left it how it was. I am not sure that spray paint would adapt to the silver material. Overall I LOVE it!

I like that the glass is thick not thin. Also, I couldn't tell from what I saw on the site whether the honey, or whatever someone puts inside it, if it would also fill the silver head part or not. It doesn't. The thick glass covers that area too so nothing will go into the head. Nice quality piece.

Seeing all the bad reviews, I'd also like to talk about the item I've received. Because I love my bumble-bee. My item arrived vey well-packaged and intact. There are no chips and nothing is flimsy or broken. This is a Godinger piece, so I had no doubt in my mind it would be a great piece since the company stands for quality (I have other pieces from the brand). The item I received doesn't look like a fly, it looks exactly like the pictures and to me it has the perfect size since I read the measurements before I purchased it. After the item was delivered, I received an email from the company asking if the order was fine, if they could help me in any way and also asked for feedback. So, to me, it all worked great. I'm sorry for the ppl who are not happy about it.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love this honey pot. It holds a respectable amount of honey that is easy to access with the cute silver spatula that comes with it. The glass is really nice and thick, and the silver wings are one solid piece, not painted. This would make a great house-warming gift!
