Springfield Armory Right Hand Belt Holster XD3501BH, Black

I liked the belt connection and the way the gun hung on the belt. It uses a standard size 1 1/2" belt, but a 1 1/4" would work, and you could probably force a 1 3/4" through. Not for light concealment, but what OWB carry is? What I did not like: the retention was so tight I had to shove the PX4 Storm down to get it to click, and then drawing nearly pulled my pants up to my neck before it wanted to release (okay only a couple inches, but you get my point). I had the tension screws backed out so far one came loose. I had seen other reviews about it being too loose and just thought they needed to adjust it better. Now I think there is a quality control issue. Overall for the price, if you like the type of holster, then buy it, ONLY as long as you still can get a free return. This way if you get one that fits your gun properly and you like the way it sits, then you are good to go. If not, then just return it.

Little disappointed about the engineering. There's no clip for your belt. Must loop belt through. Craftsmanship is good. Fits Springfield XD 45 perfectly. Just don't like that I have to take my belt off to attach holster. Probably should have researched more. Hope this review helps in your purchasing decision.

The new XD holsters have a base that slips beside your pants and supports your weapon. This version requires a belt to hold it up. It's ok, but would like to see the newer version available for the original XD's.

Perfect fit although it does need to be adjusted for retention. Fits a S/A .45 XD MOD 2 5' and there are not many holsters to chose from for that particular model. That being said don't expect a lot of concealability with this as it's not leather and not really designed for that purpose. More of an open carry holster.

This holster makes holstering and drawing my xd9 pistol hard cuz it’s a really tight fit

it rubs under the slide area toward the front...even at loosened setting...just needs a little worked in, but it catches, and is hard to pull

Really good holster for what it is. My only issue is it cants out from your body and really leaves a large imprint. I like to carry my 5" with a untucked shirt or jacket and usually can't see it. With this one it is much more noticeable, still I like it and will just have to keep as a winter carry weapon while using this holster.

Perfect fit for my XDE-9. Easily adjustable and confortable enough to wear on my belt at all times. Where Open carry not allowed I remove the weapon and pocket itand this is small enough to not be cumbersome.Still leaves no doubt I am carrying.
