My Crafting Ride-or-Die—Even Saved My Husband’s Star Wars Puzzle
Mod Podge is basically the duct tape of my crafting life. I use it for everything—home projects, DIY gifts, classroom crafts—you name it. I honestly couldn’t live without it. This latest bottle earned “household hero” status because we used it to mount a Star Wars puzzle my husband finished for his man cave. (Yes, I’m that supportive wife who turns puzzles into wall art. Please clap.) It dried clear, kept the colors bright, and sealed the whole thing beautifully without any streaks or bubbles. It’s easy to spread, dries fast, and the finish looks clean and professional every single time. Whether you’re a casual crafter or the queen of DIY, this stuff is a must-have in your drawer. If Mod Podge ever disappears, so will half my home projects—so I keep a bottle (or three) on standby.

Works well, quick and easy!
Works great, very easy to work with. Dried clear and smooth. Applied one coat to the front of the puzzle just using a credit card -- did the back with a foam brush and honestly the card was easier. We used 2.5 of these 8-ounce bottles to seal the front and back of our 5000-piece puzzle. Works out to about 1800 sq. in. per bottle (for anyone who may benefit from such math in the future).

Great product!
Worked very well to glue the puzzles together. It took a few coats but stays together well!!

With the right technique, terrific results.
An 8 oz bottle will do about four 500 piece 24x18 puzzles with 3 coats on the front and 1 coat on the back. We do our puzzles on a piece of laminate countertop (a sink cut out) and I've found I can do the glue up right on that and dried puzzle glue peels off, easy as pie. That is convenient because you don't have to worry; you can just brush the edges to seal them too. I apply with a 3" non-cheapo paintbrush. (Nothing too expensive, but if you use a 99 cent chip brush you'll end up with bristles embedded in your work.) Clean up your brush with water before things dry. I do one coat on the front by pouring a tablespoon or so on a section at a time and brushing it out. It will pool in the joints, but that's good. Don't worry that it's very white and opaque, it dries clear. After the first coat is on reasonably thick, let it dry several hours, then flip the puzzle over, brush a single coat on the back, and let it dry for a few hours. Then flip back over to the front. At that point, you can do coats about once an hour to build whatever thickness you like. I do one more thick coat, sand smooth with 0000 steel wool to get rid of any brush marks and wipe it clean with a very slightly damp cloth. Then one last coat, very thin with a foam brush, and if there's any brush marks after it dries, a bit more 0000 steel wool. At this point the glued puzzle is quite study but with a bit of flex and a nice glossy surface (about as glossy as a standard puzzle's finish.)

Perfect Puzzle Glue
I have started putting puzzles together and have searched for a glue that won't turn yellow and hold my puzzle together. A friend recommended Mod Podge Puzzle glue. I was a bit nervous when I realized it was white and not clear, but dries clear. I liked how it turned out so I put it on my diamond puzzle and was very impressed how it coated each fleck of diamond and now holds it in place. It was super easy to brush on. It has a thick texture so it gets in the cracks and bonds quickly. Less than 30 minutes and it was completely dry. It adds a nice shein to my puzzles. After coating 3 puzzles I still have a half of a bottle left. Which I will most likely add another coat as I will be hanging my puzzles on my wall.

The BEST Puzzle Glue!
I love this stuff! Dries Clear: The glue is fully transparent when dried so you can see the puzzle art clearly Thin & Runny: The glue is easy to work with and sinks in between the individual pieces, really adhering everything together Dries Stretchy: I've used other puzzle glues that dry hard, which seems fine at first. If you're not gentle with it, it'll crack and break. Because this glue dries stretchy, it's easier to handle when dry. I recommend putting parchment paper under the puzzle before gluing. It will be an easy clean-up and the puzzle comes right off when dried

Seals puzzle well
Works as I’d hoped. The mat finish is invisible I used 2 coats.

Straight for ward and great for preserving puzzles
Pretty straight forward. Bought to preserve a few puzzles we wanted to frame. We used 3/4 of a bottle for a 1,000 piece puzzle. Probably could have used less and got to puzzles out of the bottle. Make sure to consider if you want a matte finish or glossy before purchasing. They have different effects with how the image will pop and look in lighting.
