I bought this to help corral all of my granddaughters toys that we keep in her room for when she comes to visit. I am impressed with the toy box and found that it matches her espresso furniture quite well and it doesn't look cheap in the room. Looking cheap was one of my main worries when ordering. The item arrived well packaged and the parts were clearly marked. I was able to easily put it together within a 10-15 minutes. Just be careful you don't over tighten anything and it will be fine. Snug is all you really need. The hinges are amazing and extremely simple to pop on. They make the toy box worry free. The wheels are an added bonus I hadn't even noticed when purchasing.Nice size with plenty of storage room, good looks, well built, safe for use by two year olds....To me that is a home run.

This review is after one week of having the toy box bench so I can't speak to the durability. However, the craftsmanship is beautiful. The color matches the pictures. The corners are all rounded and the surfaces all nice and smooth.The struts hold the lid open nicely, and do not take too much effort to overcome in order to close it. No snapping closed on little fingers!The capacity is perfect. I put two fabric containers inside to segment the inside and they fit wonderfully.I hope the durability lasts so this toy box bench will be a staple in our house for years. Bought this to store toys for our grandchild in our loft. I received it and assembled it yestertday.- Assembly: Good universal pictorial instructions with references to numbers and letters for the various parts which were easy to identify. Even included a set of extra screws and dowels so that was a nice touch. The construction is screws into receiving metal inserts and dowels so this combination is relatively easy to assemble with the tools provided. The only extra tool you will need is a philips head screwdriver. The reviewer that claimed to assemble this in 15 minutes must be an assembly guru. I have a degree in engineering and am relatively handy and it took me 45 mins. No way for 15 min assembly unless you did one before.-Quality: I am pleased with the quality. The stain looks nice and it seems fairly sturdy. They advertise this as rubber wood. While some of the sides are this, there is also some particle board laminatedAll-in-all, a nice looking toybox that looks good in my loft.

My son assembled it without a problem although he’s very handy. Truly designed for toddlers. It protects those little fingers, is roomy for his toys, small and large, and is attractive. It can be used later for storage, strong enough to sit on by an average adult. No regrets.

We just received our toy box today and so far I am very pleased! I've bought other Kidkraft toys in the past and have been very happy with their durablity so I figured the toy box would be just as nice. It was very easy to put together; hubby and I had it complete within half an hour. The finish and color is beautiful and it appears to be very sturdy. I like that it comes with wheels so you can move it around easily if you have hard floors. We bought this box for our living room since that is where most of the toys end up. I also like that is doesn't really look like a toy box and that it can be used to store blankets or pillows when she outgrows it.Update August 2013: still holding up very well!

This toy box is everything it says it is.It was easy to put together - only took about a half hour and part of that was unscrewing a side because my husband didn't get an arm piece on the right side.The casters are perfect, and handle the box when full or empty, and in our thick carpet they still work great. My husband forgot that the toybox was on casters and lifted it across the living room, so it's not terribly heavy, but still solid enough that I'm not worried about it falling apart in a few weeks.It is not solid wood, but it is layers of wood pressed together, so not the super cheap stuff, but not the expensive stuff either.The hydraulic arms that handle the lid are fantastic! I was a bit skeptical of them until they were installed. Now I can see how they handle the roughness that my toddlers and preschooler use it with, and it has kept many a finger from being accidentally squished. Not so much purposefully squished, but that's more on the kids than the box. ;)

This exquisite toy box has transformed our living room from "toy central" to "grown-up-chic." Our 3 y.o. son absolutely loves the fact that he has his own little spot to store ALL of his toys where he can easily access and replace toys. In his words, "I can do it all by myself!" It blends in nicely with our existing furniture and serves as an easy, temporary seating area for all to enjoy. One of the reasons, I chose this one because of its size and functionality. The wheels are an added bonus allowing us to relocate it when necessary.P.S. When it arrived, it took me (supermom) around 1 hour to assemble plus the instructions were missing. I called the 1-800 number for the manufacturer and the rep. emailed the instructions right away. However, I have not been able to register the product online since the system does not recognize the model / serial number. Also, the toy box has a moderately strong varnish odor once it is fully assembled. To allow it to "breathe", I initially placed it close to the front door.All in all...a great purchase!

The media could not be loaded. It wasn't too hard to put together, with instructions compared to other products, it was almost easy.It's very strong and my kids can't dump it out. It has wheels! Easy to open for kids and it looks beautiful. Also it has a huge amount of storage compared to most to boxes
