I'm sure the product is good but this is NOT for small dogs. It says 1/2 a tablet for up to 30 #'s. My dog is under 10 pounds, no way I could cut that tablet into 1/6 a piece!

Update April 2016 He's been taking this for a couple of years now. Despite the initial improvement, he still needed painkillers from time to time, but more recently, we had to give him pain relief (Traumeel) three times a day. Then we discovered Inflapotion! He's been taking that in lieu of both Traumeel and Glycoflex with amazing results. He displays no symptoms of pain and is back to his mischievous, playful ways. He hasn't had Glycoflex for almost a month and there's no signs of deterioration. I think Glycoflex played its part in rebuilding joint tissue, but I don't thinks its necessary to take it all the time. I did the same myself with glucosamine, I took it until the pain in my knee stopped and now I don't have to take it anymore and my knee is fine. Same goes for dogs I reckon, it's just that they can't tell us when they don't feel pain anymore, and dogs are very stoic characters, even when in pain, they do their best to hide it because in dog society any sign of weakness or pain would result in their loss of status in the pack, or even worse, the pack would tear them a new one. As they say, "it's a dog's life." Combined with Vetri-Science's Disc Support, my 6 y/o rescued Chow, who had a knee operation to fit a stifle before we adopted him 4 years ago, is now back to peak health and no more acute pain episodes. Two years ago he contracted a bacteria that couldn't be detected by the lab and almost died. The bacteria made his leg swell and ooze puss, which had to be drained. It also "ate" his muscle around the weak joint... he had significantly less hamstring muscle than his unaffected leg. His recovery was slow despite being on a home-cooked diet since before the bacteria and he was frequently suffering acute pain for which we gave him Tramadol. He's on his second bottle of this and the Disc Support, plus Omega 3 caps. I would say that Vetri's products significantly contributed to his recovery and I will keep him on the Glyco-Flex and Disc-Support. Thank you Vetri-Science, you've given my dog a new lease of pain-free life.

I bought this brand because my lab is limping more and more. I have to use a hammer to break this into pieces to put in her food because she doesn’t like the taste. I think they are working though so I give it a 3
