Buy PROFI PRODUCT 396-703 Line laser chain alignment tool in aluminum housing at desertcart UK. Free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Really showed up the inaccuracy of the factory guide marks. - More expensive than most chain aligning tools, but well made, simple to use, and absolutely accurate so worth the money for the peace of mind. It showed the factory aligning marks to be so far out that at first I thought the laser was a bit off, but using it on the other side of the sprocket I got exactly the same result, so the inaccuracy is Yamaha's. Very happy with purchase. Review: Chain alignment - Makes lining up your chain correctly so much easier, puts a laser line all the way along the chain so you can easily see when your chain straight and alignment is correct.

Handy little tool
I've been using this laser alignment tool for a while now and its been great for checking the chain alignment against the bike's chain alignment marks on the swinging arm. On my bikes the indented marks are only slightly out but the laser ensures that the chain run is 100% in line. I highly recommend this handy little tool as a great benefit to chain maintenance. The only negative I can find is that the price is a tad high for such a simple device.

Ok to a point. Doesn’t work on all rear sprocket types.
I have two bikes, both have markings on the swing arm to align with markings on the adjusters, but over time (40 years on one of them), the marks become faint and difficult to read. Bought the laser to help me out, but it only really works on flat faced sprockets. If the sprocket has cut outs or is recessed, it is difficult to get a correct reading along the chain. Works on my older bike, so has been worth buying, but worth noting.

simple easy and accurate
Little confused at first to figure out how to use it. Pressed against sprocket produced a clear red line of laser light along the inside links of the chain showing the wheel was correctly lined up. Simple and effective no faffing about fastening things onto the sprocket or even taking chain guard off.

Poor quality
The concept is great but the item is of poor quality. It worked for less than half a day which is pretty disappointing for an item that cost £50 and markets itself as a "Quality German" product. Initially I thought that perhaps the batteries had gone flat so I replaced them all but it still didn't work.

Works well
Item does what it says, clear and easy to use. Both of my motorbikes were already spot on, at least I know now and takes out the guesswork (and hope someone else has done it right!)

Can not see beam in daylight
Can not see beam in daylight. Need to put motorbike cover over myself and bike to see beam, but great idea though
