Best open ear headphone considering budget & quality.
Excellent quality. It satisfies my purpose to be environmental aware and also do my task without any problem. Quality of sound is excellent. Only if your purpose is hardcore music then it will not be ideal other than that amazing.

A Decent Open-Ear Option (But with Some Flaws)
In short: Pros: Great fit, good sound for instrumental, very low leakage, excellent awareness of surroundings. Cons: Not good for calls in noisy places, poor Mac compatibility, shady return policy. Detailed review: I wanted open-ear buds mainly for one reason: I really don’t like putting anything inside my ear canal. I’d been waiting a long time for a decent product like this. I had seen bad reviews about the cheap ones from Boat, Noise, and other brands that just slap their logo on generic Chinese products with zero real innovation, so I stayed away from those. Then I came across this JLab pair on Amazon. Honestly, I was skeptical because I’d never heard of the company. But after checking online, I saw they have a decent presence in the US and Europe. I also watched a few YouTube reviews where people said it was good, so I gave it a shot. Now for my honest take: it’s actually pretty solid. The fit is great—snug and secure. No chance of it falling out, even if you’re running or cycling. Sometimes after wearing it for a while, I do feel a little bit of pain on the outer ear, but a quick adjustment fixes it, and then it’s fine. Sound quality is good. I’m not into heavy bass; I mostly listen to instrumental music, and for that, it works really well. Instrument separation is clear, and even at high volumes, there’s no distortion. I was worried about sound leakage since these don’t go inside the ear. But leakage is very minimal—someone would literally have to put their ear right next to yours to catch anything, and even then it would just sound like a faint mumble. So privacy-wise, no complaints. Another plus: even at 100% volume, I can still hear what’s going on around me. So you get good environmental awareness without sacrificing the music experience. For calls: in a quiet place, it works fine. But in noisy environments, the mic picks up a lot, and the other person hears distortion. So not the best for calls outdoors. But I don't take a lot of long calls, so it's not a problem for me. Now the downsides. On my Android phone, it works perfectly—smooth every time. But with my MacBook, the dual-device pairing is a headache. Constant connection issues, which were frustrating. And here’s the worst part: the return/replacement policy. When I ordered, it said “return only.” After I faced issues with the Mac, I thought maybe it was just a faulty piece. When I tried to return it, suddenly the app showed “replacement available.” I went ahead, but when the delivery guy came, he said the system didn’t allow replacement, even though he had the new set with him. Customer service confirmed it—only return, no replacement. Honestly, that felt like a shady tactic by the seller. There should be full transparency about this. I’m keeping it because I badly needed open-ear buds, but JLab (or the seller) really needs to fix their policies. I honestly want more companies like Oppo and Realme to jump into the open-ear market, because there are definitely a lot of people like me who prefer this style.

So, for starters, I do a lot of gardening and spend plenty of time in my yard; these have yet to slip or fall out, even on the stickiest sweaty summer days. They’re super comfortable and I absolutely love the design and fit. They fit just around the outside of your ears, like a cuff and the tiny speaker is just resting on your ear. I love that they don’t actually go into your ears (like an airpod would) and that they don’t fully cover your ears, like full size headphones do. Perfect for when you want to be aware of your surroundings while catching up on podcasts, audiobooks or just having some background music while working out or getting chores done. They’re super lightweight, I’ve never felt like they were weighing me down or tugging. The battery life is great, I actually haven’t charged them since I received them two weeks ago, and the battery sensor says they’re still full (shocking!) The JLab app allows you to fully customize the levels of the audio, which is handy if you’re into that sort of thing. You can also totally customize the tap functions (pause, skip, volume up/down, google/siri) in the app as well, although I’ve opted to turn the majority of gestures off except for pause and volume controls. They function well, and as expected. They’re not massively expensive, so I wouldn’t expect a full on studio experience from $30-40 earbuds, but the sound quality is great. If you need earbuds that allow you to be aware of your surroundings, don’t slip, and don’t cost an arm and a leg, you’ve found them. The only downside is finding a case cover, the charging port is on the back of the case, not the bottom, and the case is wider than it is tall, so it’s quite difficult to find a match. (I’ve opted to use a case intended for Bose Ultra Open earbuds, but the charging port isn’t in the right spot, so the cover needs to be removed once i finally get around to charging the case itself. Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind if you want to have a secure and accessible case cover.)

Magiche.
