Yummy!
I gave these to my students while we were eating how to eat fried worms and they thought they were delicious. Some of them were a little creeped out, but it was the best experience for them.

What I Needed
I bought these for an eat-a-bug challenge at a school carnival. It was a big hit for the kids! The Mexican Spice flavor was their favorite. I tried BBQ… strange crunch, reminded me of a corn chip. It has an aftertaste, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Not Bad... Not Much Flavoring On Them
I've been a hobby entomophagist for some time now. My favorite bug cuisine is Thai-style spicy fried grasshoppers. This is the first time I've tried mealworms. I've had freeze dried crickets before and the flavor was similar. It seems to me the best insect cuisine is freshly cooked, not dried out like these are, but I guess that is true for any type of food. These were dry and crunchy. Beneath the artificial flavor coating, the flavor of the worms themselves are somewhat a cross between walnut and hazelnut. The flavoring powder is ok but there isn't nearly enough on them; you can barely taste it. My favorite is the Mexican Spice. If you stop skimping on the flavor powder, then I'll buy them again. But otherwise--- No.

BBQ is my favorite.
I got these to try with kids. Some loved them and some thought they had a horrible aftertaste. The have a slight crunch like potato chips and the powdered flavor on them is similar to potato chips. Some people really tasted an aftertaste and some didn't. It depended on the individual. Most people liked BBQ the best. It had a slightly sweet, smoky flavor. Cheddar cheese was okay, but didn't have much of a flavor. Mexican spice had a surprising amount of heat to it. Some of the kids really liked it, but if heat isn't your thing, avoid the Mexican Spice. Fun experiment!

Unexpectedly better than I would have expected, but you kinda know what you're getting going in...
Transparency: I purchased these as part of a challenge video and have only sampled one flavor, out of curiosity, before shooting. This was in no way something that I was previously curious about or had an interests in. I know there are some parts of the world where this may be a viable caloric option but not really for me. With that said, I am accounting for my bias in the review because the product delivers exactly what they advertise without food poisoning! The packaging was received intact and very well wrapped (first individually, then as a group) to preserve our little flavor slapped friends. The packaging is clean, labeling isn't too bad and clearly displays what you're about to get into. I have only sampled one flavor so far, and was not sick in the aftermath. I will say the flavoring may not have been bad on something else at a higher volume. The pairing was like licking Grippos dust off of a recently divorced father of three's polo shirt who had sat in his recliner for the past two seasons, only moving to drink away what money is left after alimony and child support payments are deducted from his payroll. Although this left me feeling nearly as depressed as my explanation, those present were giddy and happy...so the product succeeds in providing joy to others as well. Overall, the product provides exactly what is advertised without leaving you sick following and the packaging is very well sealed to maintain freshness (or to keep your newly acquired friends from escaping). Most of my bias that I tried to keep humorous in this description is likely because you know what you're eating and it takes a little bit to get over that.

Super tasty but extra small bags. pperfect taster to see if you want to try insects.
These are the yummiest - most delicious. They have hit upon a great recipe and make it very well. However, you get a frustratingly small amount of the product in either the taster pack or in the large individual flavoured-sized bags. This taster set is perfect for just letting you see if you like eating insects, which most of us have an aversion to. However, insects can be delicious if prepared the right way. If you've not tried eating insects before then this is a great product for testing whether or not you like insects.

Yummy and fun
I got these for my class after we read the book How To Eat Fried Worms. I thought they’d be reluctant to try them but they ended up loving them! They are unexpectedly good.
