PROS:- Comes in two flavors Blue Raspberry or Cherry- Included specific ingredient information on the product- Both adults and kids can enjoy these- Comes in convenient, prefilled pouches, just freeze and they are ready to go- Great for kids parties or special treats- Saves a trip to the Convenience store to get them from the machines- Turns your tongue blue and that’s just fun!CONS:- I get the “Freeze, squeeze, enjoy” directions are meant to be appealing, but I found them frustrating. I think giving some actual suggested directions on freeze time, and or thaw time for desired consistencies would be helpful.- This item is meant to be frozen, but item goes hard as ice and needs to be thawed before you can drink it from provided pouch.- Has an unpleasant chemical after taste- Contains no real fruit juice, a missed opportunityI still remember going down to the convenience store or gas station as a kid, running up to the machines, looking at the variety of flavors and picking my favorite Icee flavor.Getting to see they have made it so we can have these sweet treats at home was really cool for me!I got the Blue Raspberry version of this item and I was very excited to give it a try.The pouch does come with two options to consume, a twist off lid OR there is a pre-started tear on each side under the twist off lid. This is how I recommend enjoying this, once ripped you can use a spoon and eat directly from it.I thought this item tasted okay, it has that blue raspberry flavor we all know but it was hard to get passed the slight chemical after taste for me. But I am sure children will enjoy this just fine.Once it hits the desired slushy consistency I found the provided twist off mouth piece was easy to drink from. At 6 fluid ounces it’s the perfect amount for a frozen treat, Not so much I wasted it, but enough to satisfy.This item doesn’t come with any special directions other than “freeze, squeeze and enjoy.” It arrives in liquid form. I put it in my freezer overnight and when I took it out to give it a try the following morning it was frozen solid like ice.After 15 minutes at room temperature I was able to forcibly squeeze it with my hands, but it still hardly was breaking it up and for sure wasn’t enough time to drink from the item.If you want to be able to eat this with a spoon you will need the item to come to room temp for about 20 minutes, but that time was with me warming it with my hands.If you want to drink from it with the twist off cap I suggest it be at room temperature about 30 minutes for it to be slushy enough to drink from.My recommendation would be not to freeze this item overnight; instead plan ahead and pop it in your freezer for an hour or two before you want to have one.The reason this is getting 4 stars from me today over 5, is the lack of a good recommendation or direction on how to achieve the best freezing time to enjoy it right out of the freezer. And I was slightly put off by the aftertaste the item had.

Great taste and convenient.

My biggest vice is frozen treats, so when I had the opportunity to get these, I jumped on it. They arrived in a relatively short period of time, and as soon as they did, I put them in the freezer. This leads me to the first thing that I found difficult (for lack of a better word) about these. They don’t really have a middle state. They are either thawed or they are frozen solid. That means, to enjoy them as you would, for example, if you bought an Icee at a store, you have to let them thaw for several minutes before you can enjoy them. You keep checking in on them, and once they can be squished in your hands, you can knead them to get uniform consistency and enjoy them.The other thing that made these a little frustrating is that the spout it too small. If they’re not EXACTLY the right consistency, you can’t push out the slush. The result is that the timing has to be pretty much perfect to make sure that they’re not too thick to push out of the top, but not so thawed such that you find yourself just drinking chilled (highly) sugared water. Now, to, their credit, they have notches in the containers, so you can rip off the top and pour them in a cup.Overall, while these are the Icee brand most of us have known since childhood, the complexity to enjoy them and the price per unit make these more of a fun novelty than something I’d consider purchase on any kind of ongoing basis. I also probably wouldn’t purchase them for something like a kid’s party for these same reasons. Fun, flavorful, and definitely something to try – but that’s about all you’d do.

My kids were a huge fan of these. In fact, I didn't actually get any. LOL They did say that it tastes just like an ICEE from the local convenience store. The cherry flavor was great, and it was a nice treat. (Even in winter!) You just freeze them, remove from the freezer and squeeze them, and then you can drink them. The cap turns, and there shouldn't be a lot of spillage. It's a fairly small spout. (This pack has 12 of them, so 1-2 packs would be perfect for a party).

I got the Icee Slush Frozen Fruit Juice Pouches (in cherry) for my daughter. She loves to go to our local store and get slushies. I figured these would be more convenient.The treats come in a cardboard display box so you can easily store it on a shelf and still have easy access. The pouches are just like other juice pouches but taller and with a screw cap. Each pouch gives the nutritional values as well as the ingredients. While it says "naturally and artificially flavored" there is ZERO fruit juice in the ingredients. The instructions simply say "freeze, squeeze, enjoy" but there is no time frame to get it to be the perfect slushie. I put one in the freezer overnight for her to try and, when she went to eat it, it was frozen solid. She had to run it under warm water to get it to slushy consistency. The instructions also state to consume in one sitting. She did it in two and said that it definitely tasted better the first time but wasn't bad after being resealed.My daughter says she likes them and they taste good. Which is why I am giving them 4 stars. Had there been clear instructions on how to get them to the perfect consistency, and had they used real fruit juice to flavor it, they would have been a 5 star product. At $35 per dozen, they are a bit pricey compared to the convenience store but it is much more convenient.

These freezer slushes taste great. They’re a great substitute for a home icee. I have found them in stores for around $1 per pouch so I’m not sure why the price on here seems as high as it is but it’s a good option to get them in bulk without having to go to the store.If you like slushes or icees and want them at home these are great. If the price doesn’t concern you I’d highly recommend this product.
