A Beekeeper's Dream: Forest Beekeeping Supply Ventilated Jacket Shines with Superior Veil Design
As a beekeeper, I’ve tried various jackets, but the Forest Beekeeping Supply Ventilated Beekeeping Jacket has quickly become my go-to. The standout feature for me is the round veil. It offers incredible visibility, letting me see clearly ahead and in my peripherals without any obstruction. What sets this veil apart is the unique view port near the chin—something I haven’t seen in other bee veils. This makes it so much easier to look down with just my eyes, which is a game-changer when working with hives.Putting on the jacket is a breeze. I slip it over my head like a sweatshirt (or a jumper for those in the UK), and I don’t even bother with the zippers. It’s that simple and comfortable. The arm length is spot-on for me, fitting perfectly. The trunk of the jacket is a bit large, but I don’t mind—it gives me some extra room to move. For reference, I’m 5’11” and wear an XL.Overall, this jacket combines practicality with comfort, and the innovative veil design makes it a fantastic choice for beekeepers. I have never been stung through it and have two hive with about 30,000 bees each. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable and better view than hooded veil
This jacket is very comfy and flexible. I;m 5'8" and 165lbs and M fits perfectly, a little loose around the mid section and fluffy sleeves, not too tight. The round veil is great for visibility, although it looks like a space suit, i don't really care. I tried the hooded suits and they were really hard to see through, drove me nuts. The suit breathes ok in summer, but it's still warm. It's inevitable that you're going to get sweaty in any suit in summer heat. A slight breeze is all it takes to stay cool enough. I wouldn't spend all day in one though. It's great for hive inspections and the zippers are very tough brass, not those cheap aluminum crappy ones that break all the time. For the price this is a great jacket.

Love the jacket.
Jacket is very nice. Takes a little time to get used to putting it on, but seems substantial. The hood is difficult to keep in place. It falls down when bending your head down. Wearing a cap helps.

The BEST beesuit I've worn so far. Great value for money
I live in the tropics so you k ow my main reason for buying was the heat as I read this was breathable. IT IS. And no bee has managed to get I to my suit so far since I've been using it. 7 months now. It so comfortable and very easy to wash and with baking soda its bright and white again. All the tabs and zips maybe a little complex to take apart and reassemble. But still easy to figure out. Its these that save you from the invasion. Of the suit from bees. Other more simple to assemble suits have little sections where the bees can come in. I have yet to have a bee invade. Something I struggled with my other suits. Very excellent buy. Value for money. I bought size M I'm 5-4 130lbs. My husband is 5-8 170lbs. L

Very good protection
Very nice jacket and veil. I transferred a nuc of bees to their new hive home in complete confidence. My girlfriend watched from a safe distance and said, “Bill, you are covered with bees.”Never would have known. Great protection.

No movement in the veil
Nice suit but there’s not enough motion in the veil. When you have the suit on your head spins inside the hat

Better for the jacket to be too big than too ...
I'm 6'2", 195 lbs, athletic build, and the X-Large is very big on me, in chest/abdomen, shoulder length, and sleeve length. Better for the jacket to be too big than too small though. I like this one with the 360-degree, brimmed hat better than those with a fencing veil, because the latter seemed to not hold itself up over my head as well - i.e. the fencing veil sags and just kind of rests on the top of my head. Also, on the jacket I received at least, the top of the brimmed hat is the same breathable mesh material as the rest of the jacket, though the one in the picture looks as if it's constructed of a solid material. I wish the jacket had elastic thumb straps, but the cuffs seem tight enough to keep critters out. Elastic is tight around the waist too. Overall, very pleased so far.

Just What I Was Looking For
I know a lot of beeks don’t wear any extra gear. But I also 1 who developed allergic reactions to stings, so I wasn’t going to risk it. (Whether or not that would disqualify them as competent beekeepers is another topic, I know.) However, I’m new, and one of my hives is much more aggressive than the other, and I ain’t risking it.I needed something breathable, preferably where the wind could blow through. I wanted 360 degree view, and a zipping veil. This jacket does all that. Still hot in the summer, but it helps alot. Combine it with a good set of gloves, and havent had another sting. Very happy.
