First Watch Security 1170 Adapter or Trim Plate with Polished Brass Finish

I bought a set of these to help upgrade the look of a nice old door . Someone install a lock in the past did a less thanperfect job and left some scratch marks from their drilling process on the face of the door. After measuring the damaged area I decided these rings were the perfect solution to hide the damage. The price was right, they matched the new lock that I was putting in and covered the marks. They were easy to install with the new deadbolt and added a nice touch to boot. What more could you ask for beyond replacing the door.

This was able to help solidify the door knob again. Firm knob again. Good product and worked as described.

Works as intended

Not what I would call impressive quality, but not bad either. For your average run of the mill shiny "brass" doorknobs they match pretty well. They aren't quite as smooth finish as your common brass doorknobs, a bit of orange peel, and one side seems to be smoother than the other. But it's not really noticeable enough to be glaringly obvious unless you really get close and eyeball them. And substantially thick enough to be serviceable durability-wise. Once again not exactly impressive thickness, and no beveled outer edge or anything to make it look /really/ nice, but thick enough to do it's job, which is luckily not so thick that the plain stamped edge really stands out or looks too rough.Looks 100% better than an off center hole poking out the side, and would easily remedy a mismatch in hole/doorknob size. And if it was thicker or had a fancy beveled edge or higher quality finish it would likely be more expensive than you would want it to be for a run of the mill installation. So if it's going on a really fancy door with really fancy hardware you may want to shop around for something different/more expensive. Also it's really only held in place by the pressure of the doorknobs tightness so I wouldn't want it on an exterior door where security was a concern as a crafty person could knock it to the side enough to probably get at the workings of the door latch. But for an average interior door in your average middle class house, decent quality for a reasonable price.

I had damage around the edges of the knob hole. This covered the gap and the damage so no need to repair the door and paint. Looks Great!

Perfect solution or a great decorative look I’m very happy with items as advertised

This is a no brainer for covering up a previous owners sloppy mess. When replacing the front door knob and dead bolt I unfortunately uncovered indentation and scratching around the door knob base. These plates covered that right up and look good at the same time.

Replaced old doorknob which was larger than new one so we needed something to cover up the exposed area around new doorknob. It worked well.
