All round excellence
I'd never used a steamer or steaming basket prior to buying this. It's only because I had to cook some bao buns that I went ahead and purchased this, in lieu of a more expensive bamboo steaming basket. I'm very glad I did because not only did this steam the bao buns very well, I now use it for basically all of the veg I used to boil or semi steam in a saucepan. You have to assemble the middle section of the basket yourself, but helpfully you're supplied with a small screwdriver and some spare screws. The whole build is fantastic, with very strong metal "leaves", with a slight brushed metal effect. They open up easily, with no snags, and it fits to the size of a large saucepan. The legs allow a decent amount of water to be simmering underneath, and it fits a good amount of veg. After steaming new potatoes and then asparagus I'm now pretty much hooked to the process and will now steam whatever it's possible to steam. It leaves veg tasting so much sweeter and crisper, and you don't get the leeching of nutrients like you do when boiling it. All in all this is brilliant and built to last.

Robust and steams well.
I was looking specifically for a steamer that would not scratch my pans. This fits the bill and works as intended! Nice and robust, fits inside my pans and steams the veg perfectly allowing for a sufficient amount of water underneath.. Initially I was confused with the 2 sizes offered but went for the 6x9 which is a snug fit for my regular pans. I assume the larger size would be intended for your instapot or similar. It also comes with an adjustable handle (screwdriver included) but I didn't need to adjust for my regular pans.

So easy to use and store
My dad loves this it makes it so much easier to steam veg it saves time and how many pots and pans you use. With only having to cook 2 meals now and the vegetables taste so much nicer steamed than boiled And it stores really easily too..

This is my Instant Pot's most-used accessory
In Amazon's November 2020 'Black Friday' sale I bought a heavily-discounted 5.7 Litre 'Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker' after reading rave reviews about them. It took me a while to work through the differences between cooking by immersion (where food is covered by a broth) vs steaming (where food is suspended over a small amount of liquid (almost always just plain water) needed to create the steam required to pressure cook.Fast forward to mid-late 2022... and this Instant Pot (and a second one I bought via Amazon in April 2021) is now my cooking appliance of choice. I stopped using my oven late-2021 (not energy efficient, slow and difficult to clean) then had a mild flirtation with a halogen air fryer (much faster but still tedious to clean), now also no longer used. I can't even remember when I last used my microwave (faster still, but fiddly... although excellent at omelettes and fritatas) and am now so familiar with my Instant Pot that I rarely refer to the collection of Instant Pot 'recipes' I found then adapted to my own culinary preferences. One thing I learned quickly was that the trivet supplied with the Instant Pot is inadequate for suspending vegetables... and I just loved vegetables that had been steamed, not boiled. Cobs of corn were OK because they're big... but smaller sliced vegetables, and any garnish like mixed herbs, just fell through the trivet... so I bought a couple of different types of steamer basket to sit on top of the trivet... then an expanding 'butterfly-type' stainless steel one that didn't need a trivet because it had its own legs to keep it standing above the water. After a year, this favourite steamer basket failed through over-use... one of its legs kept collapsing into the water in the Instant Pot's inner pot, which was obviously not ideal... I wanted 'steamed', not 'boiled'.Long story short... this replacement 'butterfly-type' expanding circular stainless steel steamer basket is better than the one I had previously. It's very simple to use... just expand its circular basket 'wings', plop all your ingredients into its embrace, drop into your Instant pot then steam away with a cup full of water. Once steamed, remove using its built-in handle. What could be more simple? Easy to clean afterwards, it has already stood up well to its *very* regular usage.

A steamer basket with extras
I bought this to use in my good (expensive) stainless steel pot because of its rubberized (silicone?) protectors on the feet. That worked well - did not scratch the pot. The steamer has some extras that are handy - the collapsible handle and feet that do save storage space. In addition, the basket seems to be a heavier steel than the one I'm replacing, and the joints seem stronger, which have been where my previous baskets have broken over time. All in all, it's a good basket.

Very useful but not long-lasting
This steamer was bought in June 2020 and has been used almost every day. One of the legs at the bottom has now completely collapsed, making the steamer unusable. Admittedly it has had heavy use but I would have expected it to last at least a year. The plastic feet are quite flimsy and I think it would be better if they were stainless steel rather than plastic. It would also be helpful if there was a way of tightening the legs.

Great for my Ninja Foodie, east, neat steaming device!
Love it! There were a lot of mixed reviews of this steamer. I bought it for my Ninja Foodie and sits in the pot lovely. It folds in and out easily. When not using it folds up nice and small for storage. It’s obviously adjustable as you just open up as big as the pot your using. I fold out to max I can so the veg doesn’t fall over edges. Lots of people saying the silicone non scratch feet melted but no signs of this happening to me (not sure if the water maybe dried up for these people?). The handle in the middle perfect for lifting out and dishing up. Looking forward to using again.

A very good , practical steamer basket for every kitchen
They heat quickly, and can handle everything from delicate fish to wedges of hearty squash. they're easy to store, and yet expand to fit pots, pans, and pressure cookers of all sizes. The nearly two-inch tall feet accommodate a lot of water underneath the basket, so you'll never run the risk of going dry before your food is cooked. A very good choice and I do recommend it but price can be found less in other websites.
